Some suggestions for the forum

Some suggestions for betterment of this forum, members please share your feedback.

There must be an option for undo the rating, as many times like or dislike is done by mistake and we have to live with it.

I never understood like and thank options, both serves the same purpose, one must be removed and added by something other, members please suggest.

New thread option should be prominent with single click on the main page.

There is a great discrimination going on the right most panel i.e most recent comments. Many of the threads which were last commented 6-8 hours ago are still shown on the top positions. There could only two or three threads which could have "pinned status".

On the other hand there are threads which are commented in the last few seconds; these threads are shown at the bottom of the panel or not show at all in the panel. It must be cleared whether it is some user id based discrimination or what?

My suggestion to siasat.pk is that the member who receives the most DISLIKES should be put under ban completely, because this member is not liked by the forum's respectable members.
Also, if any of the member talks against anyone's religion or sect, he/she should be put under permanent ban without showing any soft corner.
Also, if any of the member gets personal or abusive, he/she should also be put under permanent ban.

If you use some websites article without giving source/credit. Firstly we need to make sure content posted on our website isn't fake and secondly we can get sued for stealing someone's content. It is only allowed If you give them credit since we are a sharing platform. It is there only for our community's safety and authenticity, nothing to do with dictatorship or whatever you are thinking.

any big news paper is should be authentic source i post news papers news regarding governor raaj in Karachi ...but may be siasat.pk not consider any news paper authentic and secondly you have a key you can do any thing.. ...... regarding (community safety) i dont understand yet what is threat form my post to community

In my opinion, likes/dislike buttons should not be replaced by agree/ disagree. The reason is that likes/dislikes are very powerful tools to express reader's expression whereas these have impact on the poster. If someone clicks agree or disagree for my post, it wouldn't bother me as it appears nothing important. However clicking like or dislike will send a strong feelings which have impact on my future posts.

Compare to top sites such as facebook, twiters and youtube etc likes/dislikes options are used. If we want our forum to keep on it's journey towards top then we have to bear with these options of like dislike because that's how top sites work.

If like/dislike options ever been replaced then it will have slow impact whereas it can result in low motivation for the members' activities. Having many likes generate encouragement for the posters in contrary to that increase number of having dislikes deter poster from posting such content.

فمیلی فورم تو ایک نعرہ ہی لگتا ہے ، یا آپ کہہ دیں سلوگن ہے ، باقی ادھر تو بندہ اچھی خاصی گالیاں سیکھ سکتا ہے ، جیسے آپ نے کہا ، کہیں سنے کو نہیں ملتی . گالیاں دینے والی آئی ڈیز بہت ہے لیکن اردو فونٹس میں لکھنے والے جلد نظروں میں آجاتے ہے ، انگلش فونٹس میں اردو لکھ کر جو گالیاں دیتے ہے ایڈمن کی نظروں سے بچے رہتے ہے

Would you like to say something or add your voice for the point I raised in post 17?

There should be an undo option for 'likes/dislikes' just like they have for 'thanks'. Sometimes users click like/dislike by mistake and then there's no way to undo that, rightly pointed out by the thread starter. Like and Thank options have a great impact on the user. Replacing these options with agree/disagree is not something that I would go for. At the moment 'Rating this Thread' option is on the top right corner of the forum page (just above post 1) and I think it's not used very often, moving this option alongside like and thank options will make this feature more effective.
