Today Gen. Pasha offered his resignation to parliament during his briefing.

It is first time in the history of Pakistan that DGI - ISI is questioned by parliament. (clap)

I think Both Gen Kiyani and ShujaPasha should resign. If they don't then incompetence will be rewarded. Pakistan is at a critical juncture of history, many more challenges are coming ahead for us and in this crucial time we don't need incompetent people heading the army and the ISI.

I think he should resign anyways...even if it is not accepted by PM...

it will sat a good pattern and next time we could ask resignation from this illiterate PM an president or some other...

He has to go anyway , after few months...But resignation will be good for Pakistan .

Put a better and more strict general instead of him...

He should resign !!!
This would give cold trembles to the USA and other countries.
Intelligence has failed several times. If someone of you (ALLAH NAA KARRAY) would have lost their loved ones due to intelligence failure your opinion would have been different.
Let the sentiments does not prevail you this time.. May be the next in line could do much better.. He made the worst.. Next one can't make even worse !!

Zardari is the biggest cause of this failure...

He entered so many CIA agent that you will be receiving resignations every day...

The results start coming out...Wait until just after summer...for better weather.

I think he has definitely shown courage to take the responsibility. I am sure there will be other competent soldiers who could replace him. The new DG will also look for things differently and it will set a good example for everyone in Pakistan be a politician or military person.

Strongest Argument for his continuing as DG ISI is that India and US does not like him,
Ok that has some merit BUT

He miserably failed in what he was supposed to do, keep our house in order
He should be sacked if he does not resign

and my argument is that his position will be very weak and compromised
US would want him to do more and more whereas they will have no expectations from new DG

Current Army bosses are Musharraf Baqitat as much Q League and Zardari
We need a departure from double game and being double faced.

It may or not be a fact that he is not liked by US or Indians.

Important thing is our own policy and rules should not be dictated by who likes or dislikes someone but rather if he is competent to do the job and if he has made a blunder than he should resign. In this case he didn't know if obl was in Pakistan and most importantly failed to have any intelligence that there was an operation planned for months and then it was executed without his knowledge in our country.

NO! He has set a great example in Pak's history by tendering his resignation but it must not be accepted.

If intelligence failure is the sole reason then why did not world's best intelligence agency, the CIA's chief not resign after 9/11. There is not doubt our enemies hate him and this operation is being used to pressure him to leave the office.

If ppl think his resignation would mean PM and President will resign eventually, its really foolish to think so. We all knw tht will never happen.

It sure is a big failure on his end but him leaving the office will only benefit our enemies and we all knw his stance on CIA operatives in Pak.

I still support our intelligence and Army.

Thats true but more importantly his continuation will put unnecessary pressure on ISI.
New DG will be without handicap, why are we scared of change. Army is a professional institution, it is not Inzi retiring and we have no replacement ready. He will be a baggage, if he continues...
