ok fine......consider the lyric "tu hi meray rab ki tarah hai"..ok, lets not take it literally and look at what is being implied...it is implying that you are the most important thing iin my life...but arent muslims supposed to love Allah the most and everyone else comes after him..but here u r implying that no, this person is the most important thing to me..how is that not blasphemy?

i dont remember the exact lyrics of thos song..but i heard it on tv once..i remember Govinda dancing in it...the lyrics were something like..if it comes between god and you, i would choose you over him..how is that not blasphemy?

and believe it or not, there are many young naive girls out there, who do take it literally...then what is wrong in saying that one should be careful in this matter?
Is this blasphemy? :)

I am not an expert but I would say no...saying tu hi jannat meri is just implying that she means a lot to him ..i would say "tujh mein rab dikhta hai" is not blasphemy either...god is love..u love someone else, i could see how you can see the presence of god in that love...u could be meaning that god has blessed me with you, so when i see you i remember him etc...

I thought second line 'sajde sar jhukta hai, yaara main kya karun' should have been blasphemy for you.....

yes, i suppose many are..but thats not true for everyone..i didnt quit them cuz I wanted to prove love for my country..some people just dont like them...I have an indian friend who hates them...and blaming eachother's media does not help patriotism, its just a display of hatred..

u r wrong... game is all about media.. no one spread false news like Sky News... hence its very important to know wat to follow and wat not to.. and trust me.. it is patriotism... if u cant distinguish between wats harmful to u/ur countrymen i am afriad u have very norrowminded vision regarding its ill effects...

cant we do tit for tat? indoz have banned all our channels.. but we cant? how insane!

i never said there isnt anything wrong with that...i was just giving my example but didnt go into detail over why i quit them nor am i going to as i dont want the discussion to shift to some other topic..

i am all for not watching their channels..i just wanted to point out that blaming each other media is not doing anyone here any good..its just getting on eachother nerves..people who watch indian channels will still watch them after the blame game is done..

Plzz....plzzz...it simply means that, "I love u very much". Even "Tujh mein Rabb dikhta hey" means the same. I mean what kind of muslim can believe that he/she can see God Incarnate in his/her lover`s eyes!!!!

i dont remember the exact lyrics of thos song..but i heard it on tv once..i remember Govinda dancing in it...the lyrics were something like..if it comes between god and you, i would choose you over him..how is that not blasphemy?
If that is the criterion for "blasphemy", then trust me Qawalis contain the most 'blasphemous' statements. But, as i earlier said that every poet employs such metaphors and allegories to increase the intensity and depth of expressions and sentiments. This is the beauty of poetry and without it poetry is just a bland prose.

and believe it or not, there are many young naive girls out there, who do take it literally...then what is wrong in saying that one should be careful in this matter?

Well, i believe ur statement and it is obviously wrong to think or act like that. Suitable solution should be education of such naive young girls and lads instead of branding such poetry 'blasphemous'. Use the machine acc to its manual instead of tearing the whole thing down. Deciphering and interpretation of metaphors and allegories were included in our school lessons in Urdu(Nazams and Ghazals) and English periods from class 6th to onwards.

:)

One of my favorite song and actress. And, no, it is not blasphemous acc to my Blasphemo-meter(Unicorn style;)). However, it is a very beautiful and melodious song. May God bless Anushka with a happy and prosperous life, Aameen! Thanx for sharing(clap).

can i as you one thing? when you look deep into your heart after putting aside the fact that you love these songs, is there not even a 0.001% of you that believes it might be considered blasphemy? I used to love listening to these songs, and I didn't want to quit them after I realized it might be considered blasphemy but I quit because Allah can forgive every sin except blasphemy and it wasnt worth taking the risk at all...If you still believe that you are 100% right, then I pray that you are right that these songs are not blasphemous because I dont want to see any of my sisters and brothers in trouble on the day of judgment over some songs. i cant make anyone believe anything of course...your belief comes from your heart..I just wanted to point it out because it has never crossed the mind of most people and considering it for a few moments might not wasteful...

ok..then let me explain why i quit them...
I hate how they portray women
I hate the way women are dressed
I hate how mostly the guy falls in love with the girls looks
I hate the flying dupatta..tripping and falling in guy's arms
I hate the testosterone cheap fantasy of a romance
I hate how people with issues are shown as cool and drool worthy
I hate how the son in law is treated like god..
