PTI's Game Plan: Create a Third Front Against PPP, PML

First we need to look at PTI' strength then we could understand PTI's game Plan. PTI's strength is KPK and Urban Punjab. PTI is also focusing on young voters who have probably never voted in their lifetime or are going to vote for the 2nd time and are really tired of PPP and PML.

KPK
PTI has strength here because of their consistent opposition to war of terror that has caused heavy losses to people of this area that include their lives and property. PTI is also in talks with the leadership of National Democratic Front led by Khawaja Mohammad Khan Hoti a dissident of ANP who resigned as Narcotic Minister and from ANP in 2008 because of his difference with the party. They were suppose to Join PTI in June but I don't know what has stopped that maybe NDF and PTI are waiting for the right time to announce this. NDF is either going to be merged in PTI or they will form electoral alliance in next election. There is also a possibility of alliance with JUI(S) and JI but so far we have not heard a thing about this. although sami-ul haq of JUI(S) did invite Imran Khan to speak at his madrassa in Nowshera when Imran Khan was on his way to Peshawar Dharna. another religious party (JAH) has already decided to back PTI's Hakumaat Hatao Mulk Bachao Teherek but I'm not sure how strong they are.

Northern and Central Punjab
PTI is likely to go on here on their own here with maybe some seat adjustments.

South Punjab and Sindh
PDP of Nawabzada Mansoor Khan has already decided to back PTI's Hakumaat Hatao Mulk Bachao Tehrek and will likely form an election alliance with PTI in next election.

The emergence of the "clean party" is also cruicial to PTI's Third Front against PPP & PML. Most of the names that are linked with this new "clean party" are either from south Punjab or Sindh which is PTI weak point. There have already been reports of sidelined leaders of PPP in South Punjab supporting PTI and emergence of this new clean party will only help PTI in South Punjab. Ironically most of PTI supporters that I have talked to are against this clean party and have serious concerns about this party. A mid-level PTI official has confirmed to sources aka insaftak that senior leadership of PTI is indeed talking to Jahngir Tareen who will launch his party in September. IT would be about the same time PTI Hakumaat Hatao Mulk Bachao Tehreek would be holding their Final protests to throw the government out. PTI plans to use this party as a tool and have them resign from Parliament which will Put more pressure on PML(N) to resign from Parliament too. That would take the total resignations from Parliament to around 120+ and government will have to hold by elections but this would become Impossible for government and they would be forced to go for early elections because 120+ by elections in 4th year wont be economically viable for the government. :D

Karachi:

A traditional stronghold of MQM. The only thing PTI could do here is to damage MQMs vote bank a little here but in order to win they would again have to go for the alliance. There are already hints of some alliances with Sunni Tehreek and a Shia party in Karachi. Again this hasnt been confirmed and Im Just guessing on What PTIs Plans are for Karachi. We will have to wait for the official game plan on this.

Balouchistan: This is a story of Two belts. PTI could go alone in Pasthun belt or could go for an alliance with PKMAP of Achakzai . PTI and PKMAP were both part of APDM which were backstabbed by PML(N) in 2008 and Imran Khan is already on record of reuniting the APDM Parties except for PML(N).
In Balouch Belt, PTI will have to go with an alliance with Balouch Nationalists by Promising them to end the military operations in Balouchistan. Again we will have to see the official Plan for Balouch Belt.

ALL in ALL, PTI plans to create a third front against the status quo forces and will have candidates of this third front on all seats. The things that PTI should be careful about is the re-emergence of MMA.

Did you hear Aitzaz Ahsan's interview with Talat Hussain yesterday?

He didnt seem very excited or optimistic about Imran Khan or the 'clean party's' chances.

and do you know why the 'clean party' did not just decide to join Imran Khan? better to work as one then do it all separately?

Interesting analysis. I think the emphasis of this alliance should be on anti-corruption and include all those politicians and parties that will not be an obstruction to that agenda in the future.
