Even though the Pakistani gov't has tried to link the two for decades, the comparison falls flat. The two cases - Kashmir and Israel - aren't the same, neither on a legal basis nor (as far as I understand it) on an Islamic religious basis. I suppose that's why neither the West nor other majority-Muslim countries endorse the analogy.
