Okay, thanks for you reply. I really, really appreciate a sincere debate.
But you post has made me confused about more things.
1)If PMLN was able to influence the whole elections when they were not in govt. then just removing Nawaz for 30 days while everyone else of his party is at those positions - wouldn't that mean that they can still influence the investigation? I just can't see the fairness of PM's resignation. It is a personal agenda of Imran and that's why he's pushing for it. 2002 elections had more rigging. 2008 also had rigging. But Khan never asked for PM resignations in them. Why?
2)Talking about economic progress: I heard Musharraf talk a day ago with Mubashar Luqman about how he did not remove corruption from Pakistan because it is impossible even for a dictator. Also, he was unable to get Zardari's freshly convicted US$60 million. My question is that when Musharraf could not do it, then how will Imran do it - specially when he has the same track records like others e.g. taking dirty people like SMQ, Sheikh Rashid, Tareen, Dasti with him. Also so far his track record in KPK is just hopeless. There is no real change there. No new electricity run of the river projects, no universal syllabus except for just one class, land system is still not computerized in 15 months even though UN has given software for free and above all, no local body elections on fool proof electronic system.
There is so much that needs to be done in KPK but IK has shown hardly anything groundbreaking. How can you just base all your hope on him? To me he is ever worse because he talks of this legendary change when there is none. At least the other politicians openly say that they are corrupt and do whatever you want to do to them. At least they are honest in their dishonesty. How can you fall prey to someone just because they say they are clean but infact they are exactly same dirty as others.
1) First of all it is a norm all over the world that if someone is under investigation he is suspended from the position he has to let fair investigation, just like what happened to Rana sanaullah by the same PML-N who said that PML-N took this step so that Rana cannot affect the investigation. Such move is entertained all over the world, it is not only me who says that such thing should happen. Secondly Even if everyone else is on their places which happens all over the world as well, even then many times friends don't help you without your position because many friends are opportunists and when you don't have a position they are then not loyal to you and they say "Oh why should we risk ourselves for the dead horse", because what if investigation are rejected and re-investigation is called and in that investigation it is also proved that the previous investigation was saving the person under probe, and such move may cost the people their job who did the previous investigation.:) So people then try not to take risks. Their maybe other pros and cos to this rule but i am not the creator of such rule all over the world so i can't tell you everything about such rule.
-Thirdly if IK didn't ask PM resignation or investigation in previous elections then the answer is that he already tried to boycott the 2007 elections but other party PML-N betrayed him who first urged for boycott then back tracked and took part in elections. Reason for not asking for investigation was that he was not that strong in terms of people representation and popularity and asking for something like that would have seen as an "Ant warning to an elephant". You only raise your voice when you know its right time.
2) Talking about economic and institutional progress in KPK i would not say long things as you won't believe it any way, but few sentences.
-KPK has been awarded with awards in the past months for their surplus budgets.
-KPK government that we see today is far far better than any government that we have ever seen in KPK history, with clearn roads, better police, Less corrupt patwaris, One syllabus implemented, Health system better(not best but better), teachers/doctors/govt employees now coming to duty due to fear(maybe not all of them but majority), Laws like RTI, RTS, Conflict of interest,Accoutability bill, Mobile courts, Mobile Fir are working(not with full force but as a good starting point in a poor country like Pakistan). Small dams of small MW are being given to many places everyday, Roads of the whole Peshawar city is under expansion and their is a bridge under construction on almost every small or big river which is part of road expansion.. Etc
