But that is caz of their better organizational skills I am not defending them but that is how political parties r run in Pakistan. We had the same problem in Peshawar University but than they spent good amount of money and surrounded the whole University with big walls n having police 24/7 in the UNI as well. Peshawar is a hotbed of terrorist but fortunately PU remains one of the most peaceful campuses in the whole country

I remember my days in Karachi University.
During Ramadan, these Jamatis used to turn off water coolers and taps by force in the whole university.
No co-picnics were allowed.
A boy and a girl were not allowed to sit side by side in the class if coincidentally the department Nazim was in the class room.
Department Nazims deliberately didn't write the exams so that they could stay in the uni for a longer period.
Or if they write, there was no questioning from them that where were they in the whole semester, why didn't they attend any class?
Instead they passed the exam easily by either JAMATI teachers or fearful professors.
The hostel buildings were divided among IJT, PSF and others. These hostels were full of every criminal of Karachi residing there. All stolen cars could be recovered from these hostels by paying the ransom.
A then VC Mr. Ahsan Rashid was beaten by these JAMATI thugs. Dr. Zafar Arif's house in the campus was also terrorized and attacked by these JAMATIS.
The same mentality of imposing my own brand of Islam still exists in the form of TALIBAN, and this is the reason these JAMATIS support TALIBANS.
Either you're with us or otherwise you're KAFIR and punishable in the courts of IJT, JI and TALIBANS.

I have seen it all during my days at the university too and in fact even got to witness jamaati badmaashee and stupidity at Punjab University during our study tour.

I know that different hostels were occupied by different student organizations and there were definitely some shady things going on there but to say that all the criminals and all the stolen cars from the city were there is a little stretch ;-)

Jamaat has its fascistic tendencies and talibani tactics (also ideological affiliations with Talibans and thats why most al-qaeda/taliban types are found hiding at houses of JI leaders or hostels of IJT leaders). Though I must say that apart from some ideological differences there are a lot of similarities between IJT/JI and MQM/APMSO. One of the reason being that most of the IJT cadre, with liberal tendencies (or as we used to calle them disco jamaatis), ended up leaving IJT and became members of MQM/APMSO. Hence the similarities when it comes to affinity to using violence and intimidation and excelling at using propaganda to their advantage.

The issue is not Whether Jamatis helped taliban or not ! Taliban and Al Qaeda are all players of a bigger game and Jamatis have no access to that.
We should be discussing Jamatis spoiling out sacred educational Institutions. I spend 5 years in PU in Lahore and these Bas***ds had made life hell for a thousands of students. These freaks who mostly belong to real pathetic backward areas wanted recognition and fame and for that their solo mission is to harass students and suppress them for their political hegemony.
These scums really did spoil our lives with a complete ban on all cultural, recreational and grooming activities at the biggest university of pakistan. And yet the administration always acted as numb.
