No country can be protected or feel deterrent of nuclear weapons. Japan is the best example. The only country which faced nuclear onslaught did not produce a nuclear weapon to protect it later though it had shown the world what tech superiority it has. After the devastating tsunami and earthquake no other country country could have avoided the catastrophe than Japan.
I am proud about India too. Even though it has nuclear weapons still declared that it is not a deterrent but will never use first against any country including China, which it sees as an economic adversary than militarily.
