France has decided to stop selling heavy military equipment to Pakistan in an attempt ease Indian concerns and extend their success with contracts from Indias armed forces, reported Indian newspaper The Economic Times.
Defence Minister of France, Gerard Longuet, who is on a two day visit to India said his country did not want to be seen feeding Pakistans military ambitions.
He said that France had decided to discourage any requests for heavy equipment from Pakistan, mainly naval equipment.
India has recently shortlisted French Dassaults Rafale and the Eurofighter Typhoon for a $12 billion dollar fighter jet deal, cutting out US giants Boeing and Lockheed. One of the most valuable and sought-after military contracts of recent years, the deal for 126 fighters has witnessed fierce competition between defence majors like Boeing and Lockheed Martin, Swedens Saab AB and the Russian makers of the MiG 35.

NEW DELHI: India has again denounced US military aid to Pakistan which it says is being used by Islamabad against Indian interests, Indian media reported on Saturday.
“This (aid) is being used against us, which is not a nice gesture on the part of (the) US and we have raised this issue with them many times,” Defence Minister AK Antony was quoted as saying by the Indo-Asian News Service.
US aid to Pakistan is viewed with concern in India and has been an irritant as Washington looks to upgrade strategic and economic ties with the country.
India’s charges against Islamabad received a boost after the star witness in a Chicago trial linked to the Mumbai attacks testified that Pakistan’s spy agency and elements in the military coordinated to plot the Mumbai raid that killed at least 166 people.
Pakistan has received $20.7 billion worth of US assistance over the past decade, about two-thirds of it military aid.
US lawmakers have questioned the continuation of that aid since the discovery and killing by US forces of al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden in Abbottabad earlier this month.

We can trade heavily with india,invite their companies to invest here........do you think,they will dare to attack us!!

There are plenty of places to shop from because nations are always willing to sell weapons so the Indian's can bark all that they want! We're always buying from China, USA and even Russia now, not a thing the Indian's can do.

Damn right that we'll use them in any war with India!
