When a person is paying his taxes he is declaring all his assets. In Pakistan taxes are paid on income, property and saved wealth.

If he has claimed that he is paying a certain amount of money in taxes that means he has declared all his assets and property to the FBR. He is in no way obligated by any law to declare his wealth on national TV to his viewers so stop making stupid assumptions that because a certain person is making a lot of money hence he is corrupt.

Moreover most of these media people have started making money in the last ten years when the TV media exploded onto the national scene. Before that most honest journalists were living hand to mouth.

For your information Talat Hussain was making 14 lacs per month with Aaj TV. Im sure he is making a lot more now with dawn. He lives in one of the most upscale residential areas of Rawalpindi. Does that make him a corrupt anchor? Is he being also "paid" by some hidden hand to promote an agenda?

Perhaps we should all join the media. This guy (Hassan Nisar) for spreading negativity is assumed to get around Rs 1.3-1.5 Million per month (15.6 M - 18 M annually)

Source? Well, I just watched a video where Hassan Nisar himself was proudly claiming that he pays Rs 150,000 tax per month.

That means he is paying atleast Rs1.8 M of annual tax - which in turn means that at current tax rate this would be around 14% (FBR website). This means that at minimum his TAXABLE income is over Rs 1.07 M a month ..

This is mind boggling because Najam Sethi (highest paid anchor) pockets RS 2 M a month....

Perhaps its a good time to get all media persons to declare their assets?

Also, wondering whether Hassan Nisar has other source of income apart from writing and hosting meray mutabiq? Happy to be corrected.

Who told you that Sethi is highest paid? According to my knowledge Kamran Khan is the highest paid and he gets well over Rs.5m a month.
Dr. Shahid Masood at his peak was paid well over Rs. 5m a month.
You never heard Kashif and Talat saying they pay more taxes than Nawaz Sharif when his tax liabilities were said to be 2.5ml for 2010 and 2011?
They both are in similar category, earning over 4m a month, according to my information.

He always talk about poverty in Pakistan and abuse polititions. I believe apart from few polititions no one can earn that much money. I think he has no right to use abusive language againest anyone and also should not show sympthy for poors in Pakistan. As long as you pay your taxes and your source of income is known , it is acceptable. Being highly paid only proves that he is capable enough. Whats wrong with that? Being rich is not a crime my friend. Koi common sense bhi koi cheese hoti hai.
