Thanks.That's crux of the matter.Inspite of all we say these countries do accept you and you enjoy all facilities here.My question is, say if fifty thousand Canadians migrate to Pakistan and seek jobs in say Lahore,how would Lahori's react ? Meri khayal hai khoon kharaba hou jaye.....

Nahi hoga khoon kharaba ... ager pak rupee ki value Canadian dollar wali hoo ager yahan itna he deficit man power ka ho jitna CAN main hai aur itna he land or area uncultivated undeveloped para hoo jitna CAN main hai. as far as your acceptance theory is concern you put your sweat n blood in the development of these countries and do all the dirty jobs on a lesser pay in compare to locals. do they ever except you as their 1st citizen ?? even after having nationality you still remains Asian ... you still face racial abuse, you still get remarks for your dark skin... I'm well traveled person and God knows i have nothing against Europeans or Americans personally, they have got all they have with shear effort hard work and discipline, they used their heads to bring in all the latest inventions and facilities to their people... fine but if you want to tell me that they have very good and fair thinking and policy for the third world or even for the Muslim world then i wont buy it... still how many people in Pakistan are eligible for CAN immigration?? do they have same norms for a person living in Europe and in Asia ?? there is only way of winning hearts and that is with love and care and even a smile can do the job... so do they really smile looking at us ?? You know very well that they don't... can they pass an NRO for their country?? can they bring and keep a person like Zardari through elections in their country?? will they allow any Pakistani Raymond Davis to escape after killing their two nationals ?? list can go on n on n on. sorry if you find me little hash..!!!

Well I dont agree with you.
I have been here for fifteen years.I have never been subject to any sort of discrimination....not even once.I work for a fortune 500 company and I am paid very well with excellent fringe benefits.I look after a Deptt in which about fifteen men and women work......all native Canadians.Politics aside,if you are a qualified person a job is always waiting for you no matter what colour skin you have or where you come from.Merit is the name of the game.I agree there may be some exceptions here or there but on the whole system really work.

It take a couple of years to settle down in Canada.It took me nearly five years.The real problem is to find an appropriate job and employers ask for Canadian experience which obviously newly arrived immigrants dont have.....it's like asking horse before the cart.You have to keep in mind that immigrants come to Canada from a hundred odd countries and most of them are highly educated and qualified in their professions.Hence the competition is fierce.Another thing that has made things worse here is the recession.My suggestion is to get a job even if it not appropriate to your qualifications and then move from there.Canadian employers also do not accept foreign educational qualifications and the sooner you upgrade yours the better it will be for you.Eventually you will develop " networking " as they call it here....it has the same meaning as " Wasta"( if I am not wrong)in Arab countries.So these friends and acquiantaces can help you a lot.Most of these jobs here are not advertised and filled by networking.An employer feels very comfortable employing somebody recomended by one of his employees.It's a long journey but keep you chin up,Inshallah you will make it.

Thanks for concern and advice unfortunately I am here from almost ten years. Took couple of courses but no luck so far . I dont get what I want to do, and gets I dont want to do. So I gave up :)

Not true.
They are not happy in non-Muslim countries.
They want to come back to Pakistan. Few tried but lost their life savings in Pakistan. They are worried about their teenaged sons and daughters. They cannot sleep at night. Praying for their Pakistan all the time.

Just need a "FEW" things fixed,law and order,poverty,education,electricity,water,depleted infrastructure,police,bureaucracy and above all Americans and pakistani politicians.

Happiness is not to be judged with the amount of wealth one earns in a western country or the sense of protection one might feel living here. We who live in these countries are very well aware of the social problems we face and see each and every day around us. The scenes of people lying in the parks totally drunk or the stressed faces around us because of depression and the pressure from either their families at home or their boss at work. These people are sad too and want to get rid of this mechanical system. They miss the social values which the muslim countries in general posses. If they are happy they wont drink till they drop! If they are happy then european countries like Sweden, Norway, Germany or canada etc. wont have such a high suicidal rate! If they are happy then we wont see people holding their weapon at some point and going amok! If they are happy then the divorce rate would have been far lower! so friends the guage of happiness is not just wealth and thats the point i wanted to make here.
