Updated at: 2034 PST, Saturday, August 20, 2011 ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced that it would begin a campaign to purge voters' list of fraudulent names and add new ones from August 22, Geo News reported Saturday. ECP has also issued schedule for preparation of new voters list. According to ECP, the Provincial Election Commissioners had been directed to begin from August 22 preparation of fresh voters list in the light of draft list issued by NADRA. Punjab Election Commissioner Akhtar Hussain Sabir told Geo News that 61000 teachers and 20000 supervisors had been inducted to update the voters' list. The door-to-door verification of voters will continue till September 30. The initial electoral list will be issued on January 3 and objections on the same will be received till January 23. The objections will be dealt with till January 29 while the final voters' list will be published on April 3.
