Dynamo 'levitates' beside London bus - but how does he do it?

The gravity-defying pictures are quite something, but can you work out how this magician does his levitation trick?



Link to video: Illusionist Dynamo 'levitates' alongside bus It's a publicity stunt for a soft drinks brand, but there's no denying the pictures of the magician Dynamo 'levitating' beside a London bus are certainly intriguing.

No sleeve covers the lower part of Dynamo's right arm, but is something amiss? His right hand in contact with the bus, but his feet dangling in mid air, the surprised faces of the passengers on board look almost genuine.

Passersby photograph the 'levitating' Dynamo. But all is certainly not as it seems - there's no 543 London bus for starters, so we can assume the people on board are in on the trick, and the bus could well be rigged. Easy his right hand is artificial, and the contraption goes till his knee and cover his waist or chest. His real arm is in-front of chest.(bigsmile) If I were him I would have done it this way

The arm on the bus is Fake, he's hiding his right arm in the shirt if you see in full screen you will notice that. Good trick though.:)

Nahh that's old school. Now a days no one does that kinda old stuff. People like innovation and they try to create new ways.

It uses same principle as above. But since his sleeves are up so he is using fake arm, which I mentioned in my first comment.(bigsmile)

Exactly! I was gona post this example too. He is doing a variation of this 'yogi' on a stick with a fake arm prosthetic to cover-up the rod used to leverage his weight.

Frankly, to me now these 'stunts' are annoying. I like old school slight of hand. TV stunts like these, and Chris Angel people etc. who rely more on camera angles and editing cuts and 'weido-persona' are just plan annoying now. They just show a lack of creativity on their part. Heck, even his name is cheezy annoying, 'Dynamo'.

But I bet there must be people out there who must be thinking that he has super-human powers...

This sort of thing always has a logical explanation and it is an illusion NOTHING MORE


This Dynamo guy walked across the Thames last year I think and then people took his walking on water to peices and showed exactly how it is done
