LONDON: Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Command Unit has conducted raids on two “residential addresses” in North West London in connection with Dr. Imran Farooq’s murder investigation.
Dr Farooq, the former convener of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was killed outside his home on 16th September 2010 as he was returning home. Geo News has learnt exclusively that the raid started on Tuesday 19 June at around 6am at two important addresses in the area close to where Dr. Farooq was killed in Edgware, London.
When approached by Geo News, a spokesman of the Metropolitan Police confirmed that officers from the MPS Counter Terrorism Command “executed search warrants at two residential addresses in north-west London as part of the continuing investigation into the murder of Dr Imran Farooq on 16 September 2010”.
The searches are continuing and no arrests have been made. The Metropolitan Police says that it is determined to arrest the killers of Dr. Imran Farooq. The MET police is investing the murder of Dr Farooq case on several lines, including one strong line of investigation that Dr. Farooq was in discussions with his colleagues and members of the public to start his own independent political career.
The raid in London at two important addresses is seen as highly important as Dr. farooq’s 3rd death anniversary approaches.
These searches are being carried out under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE).

Yes agreed with you .they are looking for alternate to Altaf Hussain
once they have found one more danger then altaf bhai they will get

Its amazing that in a city where almost every square inch is surveilled by CCTV you don't have anything on the murderers except for IF walking about. Altaf's paymasters have made sure that the long arm of the law don't eventually reach him.
No surprise then that SS was sidelined. IF the police ever get around implicating any member of MQM then get ready for the grandest of topi drama by MQM to distance itself and AH from it.

As regards the Vids of I F, they are grainy still jumpy images in which the faces of most in the background have been faded out, they are stills as opposed to true moving images.
ALL the cameras and there is NOT a single 4 second sequence of him walking of saying something anywhere bus tube street shop station....... anywhere
(Consider that with the vid of the PML N MPA slapping thing on the bus. The vid of that happening on a bis in Pakistan is far clearer than ALL that Scotland Yard could capture in the City with the MOST cameras per head of population in the WORLD)

Yes, thats what I was wondering whether he is back in London. Media had shown SS present on stage at various MQM events in Karachi until his recent fall from grace. These people are ruthless, heartless and cruel murderers. They know how to make sure that no one dare talk. Whole families' lives are at stake. No wonder that hardly anyone ever defects if they want to unless they have backing from strong elements within the Pakistani establishment.

There definitely is a lot more to the story. Our media is a lame @$$ and I have no expectations from it but the way that the British is silent on this is mind boggling. This sort of thing is part of the local crime reporting and the address of the raids and the targets of the raids are easily identifiable. Their deafening silence on this murder tells the real story.

I pray for others more deserving not this guy
I agree with UKPakistani and would care less. He has been complicit, as was the case with Imran Farooq, in the murders of thousands of people and countless families destroyed. I only feel for their kids as they are the innocent victims but these people are as responsible as AH.

I suppose, killers have done their homework throughly
A residential street in North London would probably have a few cameras on poles and a large uncovered area which these professional killers could identify and use the spot for crime..
I remember a remark made by co-host of crimewatch host killer when they got the killer, he said, killer was apprehended due to cameras on main road, had he chosen to take a long walk before catching the bus, it would have been very difficult as it was not possible for police to cover a larger radius, same seems to be the case here...

+ On 9 December 2010 a man [A - 34 ys] was arrested at a residential address in Camden on suspicion of the murder, and also on suspicion of robbery in October 2009. He was taken to a police station and later bailed to return pending further inquiries - next due November 2011.
