Common sense is to learn the Quran on your own. With new technology, we have so much information available on the net that we do not need a mufti/mullah/Moulana/sheik, etc., to learn the Quran.
The majority of the mullahs are anti-Islam, promoting and spreading a parallel religion through fake ahadith and fiqh.
To learn something, you have to unlearn.

Quran answers this question beautifully.

29:69

As for those who struggle in Our cause, We will surely guide them along Our Way. And Allah is certainly with the good-doers.

Quran gumrahi ke liye nahin hidayet ke liye nazil hua hai... sadaaa hidayat ke liye kisi aalim ki zarurat nahin hai... jo akhlaqi hoti hain...lekin mazeed gehrai ke liye kisi gher firqe ke aalim se samjhna zaruri hai.... jo firqa parast molvi ho uss se bachcna zaruri hai...

quran bhi baaqi kitaabun hi ki tarah khud padh ker samjhaa jaa sakta hai. albatta us ke liye intahaee lamba arsa darkaar ho ga jo insaanu ko haasil nahin hai. issi liye insaanu ka her ilm un ki guzri nasloon se hi aata hai.

ilm ke hasool ka saheeh tareeqa main link main tafseel se bataa chuka hun. See HERE.
