Perhaps the most puzzling aspect of the saga has been why the previous military leadership created a national frenzy over a report in this newspaper in the first place. Given the veil of secrecy that the military throws over ongoing internal debates and the self-aggrandising speculation in sections of the media, it is difficult to ascertain in the present tense what may be motivating certain decisions by the military leadership. However, with the exit of former army chief Gen Raheel Sharif and the dismantling of his small but powerful coterie of advisers, it does appear that a desire to seek a full-term extension by him may have tainted the response by the military leadership last October. While that is now history and Gen Sharif has secured for himself a sinecure in Saudi Arabia, perhaps the military leadership needs to address what has emerged as a problem since the transition to democracy began nearly a decade ago: the old rule of military chiefs retiring on time and not seeking an extension needs to be made a norm once again. For reasons of democracy, but also for reasons of the institutional strength and dynamism of the military, regular change at the very top is necessary and desirable.

I know their own top brass don't get paid that much. So a Paki general getting paid 0.7/0.8 million dollars is over the top. Max maybe 1/1.2 lakh USD. Yeah but they do offer great perks, everything is provided and paid for. So basically that entire salary goes in ones pocket, because you don't have to spend for anything.

لے دے کر اگر کوئی اعتراض تھا تو وہ ایران کی ناراضگی کا ڈر تھا،(اگرچہ ہم تو اس لا یعنی اعتراض کو تو پہلے بھی خاطر میں نہیں لاتے تھے) مگر جب سے ایرانی جنرل نے ملک پر حملے کی بڑھک ماری ہے، اس کے بعد راحٰیل شریف کے اسلامی اتحاد کو جائن کرنے پر اعتراض کرنے والے، نرم سے نرم الفاظ میں صرف ایرانی وکیل ہی کہلائیں گے۔
اس میں بکنے والی کیا بات ہے؟ پرویز مشرف بھی مختلف مواقع پر جا کر الٹی سیدھی باتیں کرتا ہے(یعنی لیکچر)اور فی لیکچر لاکھوں کڑوڑوں روپے کماتا ہے، تو راحیل شریف بھی اگر ریٹائر منٹ کے بعد ایک اور جگہ جا کر نوکری کر لیتا ہے تو امیں بکنے والی بات کرنا سمجھ سے بالا تر ہے۔بے شمار فوجی ریٹائرمنٹ کے بعد سیکیورٹی اداروں میں چلے جاتے ہیں

Raheel sharif has been promoted to Saudi Arabia Islamic army that's why he don't doing any thing against Nawaz sharif and this General Bajwa dropped dawn leaks they said said it was national security leak. Also army has done nothing to stop the corrupt mafia is the army also corrupt?

I wouldn't call them corrupt as the real corrupts are the politicians. That's the bitter truth, although we represent politics as well but we have never seen a Zia-ul-Haq airport, bridge, or university.. not even anything on Musharraf name.. but you would see Benazir Airport, Nawaz Sharif Bridge, Bilawal University, Shahbaz Sharif Hospital and the list goes on.. this is just one aspect..
Yes other concern is that the international establishment, specially KSA and USA have influenced our local establishment as our country is unable to produce any significant revenues (because of corrupt system) and that our whole government and army depends upon USA loans and funds from other countries like KSA, Qatar etc. No one gives away anything for free, if you take their money you have to do what they say. That's the long story short and we trust in Imran Khan that he can free Pakistan from this slavery.
