how do we make sure, we are not downloading a malware or a virus? i wouldn't make this thread, If i wanted to go with the app store ;)

this is why kat.ph is the best site ever. the mods of that sites donot allow any malware or infected torrents on the site. search your torrent and first read the comments of the members and you will come to know what you are downloading and how it will work . seriously i could not find most reliable torrent site on internet better then this.

yes i can see it in iphoto . i got them in seperate folder as well but now everything is messed up. videos of gb size are reduced to few kb and when i want to move them to outer hard drive or usb mem card , i can not. The day i am able to take out my albums from this garbage laptop i will give it to someone. I am comfortable with windows laptop.

by the way which torrent software do you guys use?

utorrent is the best. Light and reliable. It is the most popular client.

Follow these steps and you will have your pics and videos...

1) Open iPhoto
2) Select all images and videos that you want
3) Click on "File" and then on "Export"
4)Then you will see some options, select the following in "Kind":
a) Kind: Select "Original"
5) Click on "Export"
6) Click on "New Folder", "create" new folder and click "Ok".
7) Check the folder for pictures and videos.

If you still got some size and quality issue with videos, then only select the videos from iPhoto and repeat the process. :)

I wish if it was that simple. Even on mac expert gave up after making efforts for 2 hours. I stand by my commitment, I will give this garbage stuff to someone the day I am able in retrieving my photo/videos.

ohhh... i'm no Mac expert, so can't be of much help... just using it for over a year... I hope, u'll get those pics and videos somehow... :(

thanks for your concern.Your efforts my be a good help to someoneelse. In my case, its gone beyond repair for now cuz I am not ready to pay $ 150 to mac technical robbers. BTW MacBook look very attractive from its outlook but its the dirtiest from inside.
