Once, only once, if IK/PTI sit with PDM on 1 point agenda, that is to limit the role of establishment in politics, then see how everything changes. IK has to understand that this divide and rule has to end, otherwise, they used PTI to teach lessons to Noon, now they are using PDM to do the same to PTI and this cat/mouse game will keep going as long there are non-democratic thinkers like chairman PTI keep urging establishment to intervene and discuss politics with him. This is a fundamental issue and only someone who has zero understanding can do such follies, sometimes it seems like he is doing it on purpose to keep establishment strong.
what is the solution? To drag them further in politics and give them more and more space or to go back to the political forces and devise a plan to keep them away. If PTI thinks that they are the only political reality and second one is establishment, then as I said above, there is fundamentally something wrong with the mentality and ideology.
Why a third force was required, have you guys thought about it? There was something called as Charter of Democracy, no matter how weak was it, but it was still enough to wet the establishment pants. Only once, PTI chairman should say that he is ready to sit with the PDM to discuss and limit the role of establishment forever, then see how the tide changes, but as I mentioned 10 years ago on this very forum, I repeat that to expect a wise political decision from chairman saab is next to impossible.

You know as well as I that the establishment will do anything to maintain their power. Do you think Arshad Sharif was on the run for no reason? Where's Imran riaz Khan? Why are PTI members being picked up and threatened while police are denyin git was them who picked them up?
If IK even suggested that he will sit down with PDM to destroy establishment then he will be assassinated without any remorse. PDM will never dare discuss such a thing anyway.
The only way someone can limit establishment power is to come in with 2/3 majority and pass laws that remove COAS position so all division are led by individual Generals. A single General controlling the whole army is a dangerous thing since if he is compromised then the whole army is.
So if someone is not allowing the politicians not sit together, will he allow any party to get 2/3rd majority? I repeat again, the only solution for civil supremacy is that all the politicians sit together, they are after all politicians, they should know how to carry out things. Had Chairman PTI a little bit sense, he would have simply stayed in the assembly, accept his defeat gracefully, engage the political forces and slowly get things done. That is the only way, there is no other way and political entities should understand this, this is why there was a charter of democracy, which became the very reason of creating a third political force.

We all know PDM will not sit with PTI to discuss reducing of establishment powers. This is just your argument to allow you to point at IK as the trouble causer. If PDM actually offered talks with this agenda then it would be a miracle.
What we are forgetting here is that it is the same PDM parties who were on one page against the role of Establishment and came up with a charter of Democracy.
For getting something done, one has to be political, democratic, diplomatic and patient. But shouting for establishment intervention, clearly inviting them for discussions, I mean WTF, and then complaining that they are not neutral. As much as I like IK and PTI, I have always a critic for chairmain saab's political acumen and his judgement of personalities. He is not just poor, he is absolutely disastrous.
