I am not a MQM supporter at all, in fact I am a harsh critic of MQM, but Mehwish has got a very valid point here.

All Jamatis, Punjabis, Pathans, and Muhajir Burgers from defence and clifton are supporters of Imran Khan in Karachi. If they all came to his jalsa then what is the surprise in it?
The only scale to measure the popularity of a party in Karachi to have fair and free elections in the city.
PTI should demand fair and free local body elections in Karachi. The result of these elections will decide their popularity in the city.
But I don't think they ever demand it. because they are scared of their miserable defeat.
