You give too much creedence to the Afghan Army, you think they were so disciplined even if we are to believe your theory. Fact is majority of then joined the Army just as job to earn money to feed their families in a country with almost no opportunitiesnd where the Army was paying good money and in dollars I believe. None of them took the army seriously, there was no national pride or will to defend the country also 80% of them are illiterate how do you expect to use sophisticated weapons, tech, read maps, send communication, positions when majority of them can't read or write.
I actually know and have talked to American soldiers who were in Afghanistan and training them. They say these afghans were like monkeys, couldn't follow simple orders, extremely slow learners, extreme lack of any discipline, always non serious and joking around with each other. They knew these monkeys weren't learning anything and they were just wasting their time trying to train them.
Also they didn't trust them at all and would never go out alone with these "hajjis" because there had been many incidents where they turned on them and attacked when out in the open, even killing a few Americans in such incidents
