Yes interest and enjoyment is the integral part of it all but the learning curve factor is where all the frustrations come in. I enjoy and want to this but I cannot understand this one tiny bit. So what I do is go out and get that information because I want to succeed. This is what zeal is or you can call is hard work or concentration.

I have also noticed that a LOT of times and I mean a LOT of times things are easy to do ONCE we start doing them or take those little actions every day towards our goal but we deliberately delay them because we do not feel confident enough or we think it is not the right time.

The "desperation" or "no choice" factor plays an important role in distinguishing a leader and laggard in the same field too. A desperate man would outperform a normal take it as it is type of guy.

One of the hardest parts is to keep that desperation level at the highs for new progress to be made. It is easy to get satisfied once you have the basics of life sorted out for you.

Yup...running your own business venture is a full time job and I am not a big fan of formal education after basic high school. I think after high school every thing should be skill based. The society pays for skills and not how much maths or physics you know if your talents lie in arts. Person should do stuff they are interested in else time is just being wasted.

I used to lose sleep 3 years ago. Now its okay. I have a strategy which is profitable. Nothing is easy. It requires hard work BUT most importantly interest. I believe any one can learn any thing if he or she is really interested to learn.

Nope. I am uni drop out. Did manage to finish only the first semester. Was interested in internet so started an internet company (web hosting, domain registrations) ran it for 7 years. Quit and moved to trading full time. Finance is for harvard guys and girls that want to come on bloomberg/cnbc and chatter on what markets should do. I trade the markets as they are. Anyone from any background can learn to trade just that it takes the same amount of time and effort to learn as any other profession. Investing on the other hand is relatively easier than trading because it requires basic understanding of how productive a company is and then putting in money to gain 20% to 30% a year. A trader on the other hand is looking for 20% to 30% per month but then he or she trades more often which comes with its own inherent risk and rewards. ;)

Passively since 2006. Actively since 2008. Well it puts food on the table and pays the bills thats what I am going to say for now. ;)

Hi...mainly US equities but I have fxcm account where I trade forex when I see the setups. I am more of a setup hunter regardless of the financial instrument. All I need is liquidity, volatility and the setup. Follow me on twitter. I post trades from time to time.
