It is for sure that the fossil fuel industry in energy markets are going to phase out. However, will the solar be the ultimate solution? That is a big question mark.

There are several other technologies which are way better than solar and are emerging fast. Wind power is a strong contender with a fact that it produces energy round the clock and not only when the sun shines.

Tidal energy is next in line and is thought to be a multi billion dollar industry in the coming five years. It is already a 5 billion dollar industry with a CAGR of above 42.5%.

Then the fuel cell technology is about to be hatched on commercial scale. It is about to reach around 40 Billion USD by the end of 2026 only in the auto-industry.

Moreover, why are we discounting the old nuclear power plants? The Generation-4 nuclear power plants are getting commissioned now.

So, it is safe to say that alternate energy/non-fossil fuel industry is going to pick up and is the next big thing, but will solar be the leader in that change? is still something reasonably doubted.
