That is what happens in countries where rule of law prevails ... unfortunately Pakistan is still way behind. We can see some rare incidents where law enforcement stand up against the rich and powerful but the main problem is the whole system has been made corrupt by the elite corrupt mafia for last 30 plus years. Our justice system also favors the rich and powerful ... have we ever seen them punishing a corrupt rich elite mafia thug ... never. So unless there is impartial justice where judges and other law enforcement agencies heads are selected based on merit, unfortunately we won't be seeing such incidents. Time for a major reform in every department so every one can operate without any pressure and if any one is caught taking bribe or providing undue favours, then they should be made an example out of with forced resignations and even jail terms.
