Amid all this chaos, Pakistanis wanted to see the March 23rd Military Parade. The cancellation of the parade by President Zardari and the way his government allowed the Sri Lankan team to be attacked by Indias RAW despite intelligence warnings are further demoralizing the Pakistani nation.
Our worst fears are coming true. Since yesterday, very horrible thoughts are haunting me: Did Mr. Salman Taseer play a key role in this deadly and shameful event [the attack in Lahore]? Was the court decision against Mr. Shahbaz and Nawaz Sharif a plan to let the bad guy play alone with full liberty? Who is to be blamed?
There must be someone who has played a dirty role in this 'Indian surgical strike' against Pakistan. How long we Pakistanis will observe their malicious intrigues calmly as if nothing is happening around us?
In this time of chaos and disintegration, when a show of strength is essential to raise up the morale of our army and the people of Pakistan, our hypocrite Mr. President has abandoned the parade on 23rd March on the pretext of avoiding excessive expenditure. Cant he count the money being spent on 'Basant'? Why was he so quick in scuttling such an important event? In the midst of this demoralization, Pakistanis were waiting for The 23 March Military Parade. Mr. Zardari and his government can spend millions of our money on luxuries and renovations and free trips for his political allies to Saudi Arabia and elsewhere but hes unable to spend money on the country of his own throne. What a President we have. We need to get rid of him now.
