When emissions standards be implemented in pakistan?

Pakistan is one of the worst hit country environmentally , yet we don't see any concrete steps to tackle the elephant in the room.

There is no auto emissions standards in pakistan , or if there are any they are not implemented.

There are no industrial emissions standards either. Whatever we are draining in our waters is not regulated either.

Our air quality is deteriorating , our water quality is diminishing. Everything we are touching is turning into crap , yet nothing is being done to curb it.

Also i want honorable mention of kooray ka dher we create at every corner of the street or an empty plot nearby despite a warning written nearby " یہاں کوڑا پھینکنے والا کتے کا بچہ ہے " ۔

Implementing anything new with a massive popluation isn't very easy.

If annual checks of emissions and roadworthiness are enforced 80% of the vehicles will disappear from the roads of Pakistan. Specially local public transport and cargo trucks. Then these transport mafias will start making noise and our media will do another smear campaign and our foolish public will say.

Unfortunately thats true but we will have to start somewhere. The world we are leaving for our next generations is going to be uninhabitable.
