Its a shame that we have never encouraged local inventions/productions..and the culprits are both, past governments, and our public.
If you talk of a Pakistani made car, people scorn at it, calling it teen dabba and what not. Everyone wants imported stuff....and then people wonder why our CAD was so high.

If this ventilator passes trials, which Im sure it will, it will be a huge breakthrough....and will bring much needed relief to our hospitals.

Also our top universities like NUST, GIKI, LUMS, FAST etc. have never bothered seriously to collaborate with industry esp healthcare, manufacturing etc.
This indeed is an excellent step for our academia to come forward and contribute to MADE IN PAKISTAN

True..
Imagine the repercussions of this being a success, and countries asking Pakistan to export it to them. (though even then, we will find naysayers, who will say stuff like, oh, nigeria imported 1000 ventilators from us, big deal.)
