should shia muslims leave pakistan?

pakistan is not paradise by any means for most of its population barring a few thousands mid to top lvl army ppl, some hundred politicians and beaurocrats. whether it be shia or sunni, muslim or non muslim, all are being denied social and economic justice.

Recently we heard about hindus leaving pakistan for India..i was depressed. One of my friend said, " I dont blame the hindus leaving Pak for India, Iam just thinking where would i go".

Today i saw the news again, and pretty much ruined my EID, that anther score of shias have been murdered. Not really breaking news anymore, but I pondered, why is this community is acting like hens in a butcher store, waiting for thier turn in a bus or a mosque. WHY DONT THEY JUST LEAVE?

I know hundreds of sunnis also get killed in this lawless country but atleast hey are not being killed because of being sunni, and that doesnt make thier death any less mounful, but i guess this article will be discriminating against the majority by nature.

The killing does not hurt more than the fact that some so called Pakistani somehow justify it, some actually enjoy it. I would love to believe that AHOLES like those are in a ver small minority, but it still sickens me from inside.

Spot on. If anyone has visited Swat during Fazal Ullah, or during operation, or right after operation, they can tell you that these Taliban "slaughtered" (read again) anyone who stood against them. They just did not kill hundreds of shias, they slaughtered a lot of sunnis as well. Even these takfeeres did not spared any ahl-e-hadith (or known as wahabi), who had difference of opinion.

I can't imagine the pain the loved ones of those innocent victims must be feeling.

I would say that don't be disheartened even though its easy for me to say it. The disillusionment and despair is justified but rest assured that these brutes have killed even more "sunnis" - not that its any solace to the shia community.

The hatred, intolerance and ignorance has seeped in our psyche. All of us would have to rip these feelings out from the society. There is a tendency in Pakistan to blame the victim for bringing it upon themselves. Nothing could be more idiotic.

There are a lot of factors involved and one by one these would have to be tackled.

There will be people who will always be lackeys of Saudis and Iranians who are already responsible for this mess. We are Pakistanis and we have to find a way to solve our own problems - for all of us without ANY discrimination and with equal rights and protection for ALL.

May we produce leaders who see through the fallacy of this divide and work to bring pakistan forward instead of taking us back.

I have sympathy with all my Muslim Shia brothers.

@Enigma: I am sorry for your loss. But I lost one of my friends too, and he got killed while attending his father funeral who was also killed in a bomb blast. But I am still going to vote for Imran Khan, because the only way to curb this madness is to educate people and throw out all those mullahs and maulvis who encourage this. Who are you going to vote for? Nawaz Sharif who came into politics through Zia ul Haq( The man who actually sow the seed of all this fasaad) or PPP who are in power but still can't stop this madness?

What makes me sick is that I saw thousands of posts on facebook condemning genocide of Burmese Muslims but only a few posts which condemned Shia genocide. I was so positive about the future of Pakistan but after seeing this madness, I think its better to stay away from this country. No one is safe here, whether its shia or sunni.
