METRO BUS SERVICE - A WHITE ELEPHANT-SUBSIDY OF ONE BILLION RUPEES PER MONTH BY PUNJAB GOVERNMENT - MIND BOGGLING REVELATION BY CH PERVAIZ ELAHI.
APPROXIMATELY 40,000 - 60,000 PASSENGERS WILL USE THE service AT THE COST OF RS 10/person.
HOW THIS PROJECT IS GOING TO BE COMMERCIALLY VIAL ABLE WHEN EXISTING LAHORE BUS SERVICE IS HEADING TOWARDS BANKRUPTCY ?

shah ge our MNA called us here in GTA said he got funds 5 crror he N MNA and ask us any thing to be done in pind like road nali etc MPA was here two months ago he is N too he accept that perviz ellhi era was better and nobody can beat that era in terms of developments ,i watch this program this metro bus is seems like rental scam of pmln

They are several programs on the recent KARGIL issue Media could not get PML-N point of view. PML-N said to media that they are holding press conference. I have not seen any press conference.

I do not know how educated you are but it is basic economic fact that people will strive to make themselves economically better off and will take any opportunity that they get, it does not have anything to do with dishonesty of people. If leaders are dumb and do not understand basic economics it does not mean that poor people who are just trying to make themselves better off in these hard times have a pathetic character. Poor people found out that instead of running these taxis it is better to sell them to people who want to use it as private cars.
These are just gimmicks used by politicians to buy votes and bribe people. There is no economic thinking, or research behind these project, do not blame the poor people. Solar lamps, Laptops, taxis, sasti roti... these leaders cannot think beyond their own nose, they are trying to bribe people and in this elections they are going to get the shock of their life that people wont accept these bribes this time.

I agree with you bro, it is a sad thing that some people are going to get fooled very easily by these gimmicks. The only cities that were developed in the last few years was Lahore, Pindi, Raiwind, Nawabsha and Larkana.
I was in Pindi last year, just go to Larkana and look at the development there, it looks better than Karachi now. If it comes to development Zardari his developed his cities in the last 5 years more than SS. But this is not how you judge competence. Development is work of Union council. There is nothing great about it, you give me a contract and money I will get a construction company and make better fly overs and roads for you.
Who will get the benefit of these roads? mostly people who are richer and can afford cars, or afford to send their children to universities... what good will it do to the 40% of Punjab who live less than $2 a day.
When IK is in power he will spend this money on Human development, training, education, healthcare so that people have self esteem and more capabilities.
After worldwar II... Japan and Europe were completely destroyed, entire cities in Germany and Japan were wiped out. But the people rebuilt their countries in just a few years because they had strong human capital.
We do not need roads and bridges we need to educate our people so that they can build themselves.
You know how they do it, they just make roads and bridges just to make it look good before elections so that people are fooled into voting for them again and just after elections they start the recovery of the money that they spent on the election campaign, this happens in almost all 3rd world countries which is why these countries remain poor. They dare not spend on their people because they know if people will be more educated no one will vote for them.
