Correct. However, you are supporting pornography and stating it should be legalized and taxed. In its defence, you go on to state that it is no hindrance in the way of progress and cite the example of the West. Western society doesn't have or have less of social issues like burning women with acid, fire or oppression of females due to development of social values and a strong rule of law where everyone has access to protection and justice. These issues do not have anything to do with the porn industry.
What does have to do with porn industry is ogling, sexual abuse, paedophilia and rape. These things do happen in the Western society as well as most other societies and porn only helps increase them. Most paedophiles or serial rapists that are arrested are found to have large collections of various forms of porn including child porn.
That said, I agree it is quite impossible to eradicate porn fully.
