When MQM initially won the elections in late 80s and early nineties, this was MQMs top leadership:

Chairman: Azeem Tarique

V. Chairman: Bader Iqbal

Secretary General: Imran Farooq

Deputy Sec general: Khalid Bin Waleed

Finance Secretary: SM Tariq

Mayor Of Karachi: Farooq Sattar (last-one alive)

Deputy Mayor : Raziq Khan

First 2 senators : Nishat Malick and one more

It is so regrettable and unfortunate that all these top leaders of MQM are dead , and all have been assassinated, except Farooq Sattar.

It is also on record that all these leaders either left MQM (Badr Iqbal, SM Tariq, Imran Farooq, Razik Khan) or developed differences with Altaf Hussain ( Azeem Tariq, Khalid Bin Waleed, Nishat Malick) before their death
MQM is in power for 23 years in Sind and Pakistans federal cabinet, including ministry of defence and law in Sind for 8 years.

The most surprising part is that they have never ever tried to catch or even seriously demanded the capture of culprits who wiped off the entire leadership of MQM in last 20 years???

If MQM supporters consider The Nation and Ummat News paper Trash and Bogus, then here is the news from DAWN..... albiet it's sugar coated and cautious not exposing any names or Party connections but the content is same.

ISLAMABAD: Two men were arrested at Karachi airport a few days ago in connection with the killing of MQM leader Imran Farooq in London in September last year.

The suspects are said to be affiliated to a political party.

Officials privy to details told this correspondent that the arrested men had travelled to UK on student visa, stabbed Dr Farooq to death and then flown to Sri Lanka.

They were apprehended soon after they came out of the airport in Karachi after having travelled from Colombo.

It is learnt that they were arrested on a tip from British intelligence and other sources.

Their names have not been disclosed but the sources said that the president, prime minister and security establishment had been informed about the matter.

The sources said the arrests were made by personnel of the country`s elite intelligence agency with the help of photographs and videos provided by the British authorities.

The arrested persons have been kept in Karachi and investigation is in progress.

The accused had flown to London in August 2010 and the murder took place on September 16.

London`s Metropolitan Police and Scotland Yard had launched an investigation and arrested a suspect who was released later for lack of evidence.

Dr Farooq had co-founded the All Pakistan Mohajir Students Organisation (APMSO), the parent organisation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement, with Altaf Hussain. He was deputy convener of the party, technically next to the MQM chief.

But he left the party in 2009 after developing differences over organisational matters.

The arrest of the suspected killers is considered to be a major breakthrough in the case.

There are three elite agencies IB, ISI, and MI.... while FIA, Special Branch, Special Protection Groups or Rangers are Law enforcement Agencies

since IB doesn't have powers to arrest people. and MI is only involved in Military Matters. So ISI is left which handles matters pertaining National security, and since it's a matter of National security. My Haunch is ISI is involved in this matter

Dont know, never heard of him before. All I know is he was arrested in January but the government presented him now. But this is of course not confirmed at all.

Raziq Khan also left MQM for Haqiqi

Khalid bin Waleeds killers were caught as I remember

I doubt we will ever find the killers of Azeem Tariq as he was killed by agencies.

The problem is, that all the reports are based off the same source, "The London Post". I am not too enamored by this paper and can't vouch for their accuracy in reporting.

اگر آپ کو دوغلا نہیں بننا ہے تو پھر آپ نے آج تک اس حدیث کا ان معصوم مہاجروں کا خون کرنے والوں پر اطلاق کیوں نہیں کیا؟ کیا آج تک جناح پور کے جھوٹے الزام میں ریاستی دہشتگردی کے خلاف آپ نے کبھی احتجاج کیا؟ کیا میجر کلیم کے جھوٹے کیس میں مارے جانے والوں کے خون پر آپ نے احتجاج کیا؟ کیا حکیم سعید کے قتل کے جھوٹے الزام میں مارے جانے والے معصوموں کے قتل پر آپ نے احتجاج کیا؟ کیا حقیقی بنانے کی سازش کرنے والوں کے خلاف آپ نے احتجاج کیا؟ کیا حقیقی کے لیے ریاستی دہشتگردی کی پشت پناہی میں نو گو ایریاز بنانے پر آپ نے احتجاج کیا؟

ایک بہت طویل لسٹ ہے جسے بار بار نہیں دہرایا جا سکتا۔ مگر دوسروں پر الزام لگانے سے پہلے آپ کو ایک مرتبہ یہ حدیث اپنے اوپر لاگو کر کے دیکھنی چاہیے۔

متحدہ انسانوں کی جماعت ہے، فرشتوں کی نہیں۔ اس میں یقینا برائیاں ہوں گی۔ مگر متحدہ کا مسئلہ بعد میں آتا ہے۔ بنیادی مسئلہ یہ ہے کہ اہلیان کراچی کے ساتھ ناانصافی ہوئی ہے، انکے حقوق سلب کیے گئے ہیں۔

میں متحدہ کے معاملے اس بات کی قائل ہوں جو رسول اللہ (ص) نے فرمایا کہ برائی کا سارا ذمہ اسکی "شروعات" کرنے والے پر جاتا ہے۔ مگر رسول اللہ (ص) کی اس حدیث کا بالکل الٹا کرتے ہیں اور "پہل" کرنے والے کو یکسر پردوں میں چھپا کر سارا گناہ اہلیان کراچی اور متحدہ پر ڈال دیتے ہیں۔

Altaf Hussain caught escaping to South Africa?

London: Altaf Hussain self exiled leader of MQM-A caught escaping to South Africa by the authorities. According to sources, ‘Altaf Hussain was hiding in the Wrexham area close to Slough in Berkshire for the past few days. He was stopped when was going to Heathrow Airport in a private taxi. Interestingly the taxi driver was a Pakistani whom Mr Hussain thought as an English man due to his appearance.

Two murderers of Imran Farooq were arrested few days back from Karachi airport when they were coming back from Columbo. Khalid Shamim the mastermind of this murder and member of MQM gang has also been arrested. The two killers members of APMSO travelled to London on student visas and were facilitated by Khalid Shamim they were sent to Columbo instead of Pakistan after doing their job. Khalid Shamim had also planned to murder these two killers as soon as they reach Pakistan. But they were arrested before that. Hopefully Zardari and our Army generals dont interfere to save Altaf Terrorist once again.
