This is what happened to citizens of a nuclear power country in a developed and civilised country. Who is civilised and who is nuclear?

Sad story, we must have true sympathies with this young and brilliant guy Abdul Wahab. However we should not start blaming West/Western System / Western Society on this single incident, rather try to figure out the root cause of this happening (mistakes can be occurred even in any good system, as no one is so perfect).

Matter of fact is that the terrorists and extremists are actually responsible to this miserable incident (and all similar kind of incidents). Unfortunately, in the recent years, majority of the terrorists captured, had links with Pakistan, particularly with that area from where these students belong. So in general, repute of Pakistani young guys remained not good.

Media should play its role sensibly and instead of picking few hand picked miserable stories in order to increase the general hatred against the west, it should figure out some solutions of increasing extremism and hatred in the Muslim youth too.

We should also taking into account that thousands of Pakistani students are still studying in the different parts of Europe and wont facing too much problems and enjoying their live there.

If area from which he came from was the problem, then his visa application should have been rejected then and there. When British PM made a statement, then it was a national issue and national pride was on stake so this was not a single out of context incident. If Pakistani media is raising this issue then don't you see what picture western media paint for muslims specially Pakistanis. This incident made headlines in western media but what happened when they were proved innocent? This is what you call potraying a picture of certain community using media. Talat is just trying to bring facts about this incident and thats what a responsible media should do. Its always about truth, my friend, not otherway round.

Again, blaming West and Western Media is not the solution of this problem; we must think to tackle the increasing extremism and hatred in our society. And yes, that incident was a mistake, but happened because of series of captured terrorists linked with that particular region in recent past. Sometimes, bad repute works totally in a other way around.

And, this is a single incident; just think of thousands and thousands of Pakistani students studying in different parts of Europe, utilizing all their facilities, and none of them got hurt even of so much bad repute of Pakistanis links to the terror activities (8 out of every 10 terror incidents have links with Pakistan) and West is still tolerates them all in a very normal way. British police and agencies treated them in a much more civilized way, comparing what our Pakistani police and agencies do with such people.

Lastly, I would say once more, that instead of blaming others, we should look into our inside, our problem (e.g. increasing extremism and media supported hatred) that is making the lives of Pakistani and Muslim people miserable particularly who are living in Western societies.

That is the whole problem. Who is blaming who? And why should not other pakistani students be enjoying their facilities? They fully pay for it. Its not freebie or some favour done to them. And how can you say that this "single incident" has not any impact on thousands of others. I suppose its ok to keep taking blame for nothing. That is the whole quandary with us. We think its only happening to a few but who cares? At least we are safe and sound.
