Somehow it seems that she had developed something personal about Imran Khan. .

sure she has, I used to think that pti zombies are just labelling her, but after watching her programmes, I have no doubts, i'm so with zombies in this case.

But, this anchor seems to have an agenda and she pursues a line of questioning to further her line of thinking. Most of the times she gets carried away - for example making fun of Imran's statement that if the government starts to work better it would reflect on Pakistani cricket too. Its so easy to take things out of context specially when you dont know about certain topic which she clearly seems not to have no idea about cricket.

so she quoted IK but did not wish to go in detail. Can she not see that cricket management has been changed (the most corrupt and controversial management including IJaz and waqar jounis (notorious for match fixing), also why would you decide that cricket team is perfect now just after one match, she does need to do her homework.

Then she brings people who are there to further her line of thinking and she gives them proportionally more time.

this is exactly what makes her suspecious, and she herself admits 'kuch tu rating a chakkar bhee hai'.

Congratulation to our cricket team for showing such a great performance and beating England by 10 wickets. It showed the classic example and other side of our players. When our cricket players" Amir,Butt and Asif got caught in spot fixing in england ,there was too much hue and cry all over england and pakistan. I myself criticised them very much and they were sent to jail. Now their own cricket player" Mervyn Westfield" from Essex county admitted himself involved in spot fixing and still nothing happened.Dont the world see this matter as a double standard on the part of England.They sent our players thinking as cheap "BLOOD".I have very much complained with my own media ,not raising this issue on ICC level so justice should be done.I hope someone from PCB will raise this issue with ICC and ECB and get even with them.

mummy daday bachay jo b siasatdan talk show mein aata hay party ki ijazat se hi aata hay[hilar]isi media ne imran khan ko 2 din mein leader banaya tha ab yehi media jab aina dekhaa raha hay,tu beta michi Q lag rahi hay[hilar]

two more things as I watch her show ....

1. it shows that PTI's policy to include traditional feudal leaders is already hurting it - proof is the pathetic way Leghari is performing in this debate
2. now i am convinced that this anchors have personal bone to pick with IK :-)

I just stopped watching her show on routine basis - in fact I only watch the shows depending on the guests and the subject discussed now. Otherwise I lose interest. She is exposing herself and it goes back to the point that these people have to drop the charade that they are impartial and unbiased journalists - rather they should come out openly to say that they are opinion maker so that everyone knows where do they tilt and they will not have to talk in cryptic ways to further their point and pose themselves as objective journalists.

I have been watching cricket for a long time and have thought that he was incorrect in some of the decisions that he made - but then who am i to criticize, i am an armchair critic but I strongly agreed with him since the day he has been saying that the whole cricketing set up in pakistan needs to be overhauled - including administration and the cricket itself. Most do not agree with him and they want to continue with the status quo - since either dont have the vision or dont want to alter the way people are making money and doing "khalifa geeri"

I didn't even want to shoot down her cricket reference here because it was so silly of her to bring it up....the less said about it the better it is :-) And, that solidified my belief that she has a personal beef with IK :-)

I dont know what it is - ratings or something else beside it. Lot of people accuse her to be on the side of PMLN - and I very much doubt it. No PMLNer will get Nadeem Piracha or Wusutullah Khan on their show - she seems to be liberal and left leaning and brings PMLN folks to further arguments against the military establishment. And, she frames questions very shrewdly and ill equipped feudal career politicians fall for them every time :-) That guy leghari was a disgrace - so pathetic! :-)

I think you are extremely harsh on Jamal Leghari. Your criticism is unjust. First of all, she was hostile from the word go, all the other guests were anti PTI and maligning Imran Khan. He was not given the opportunity to answer the questions properly, as she constantly interrupted him. It was obvious that she was pursuing an agenda.

Jamal Leghari actively engages with the public and is a passionate person. Can you please explain to me what are his "feudal" actions that would constitute him to be named a feudal?

I don't claim to personally know him or live in his constituency. All I have to go by is his appearances on these talk shows. A Wikipedia entry on his father lists that even his great grandfather had been a minister - so he is part of a long line of politicians - now, if he was unable to handle the pressure in a talk show where he should have some idea of what the line of questioning will be then what can I say. I am not even talking about the chances that he was not given - I am talking about his answers that he gave - he missed the context and and the purpose and the way the questions were framed and came up with answers that hurt his party - thats my personal impression. This is all irrespective of what the anchor did or the other guests did - in fact at one point of time Saad Rafique indirectly helped him out!

As I said I personally dont know him or live in his constituency but here is an excerpt from the wikipedia entry on his father....

Leghari was the major landowner in the area and owned approximately 2,500 acres (10 km[SUP]2[/SUP]) of land. After the death of Farooq Khan Leghari his son Jamal Khan Leghari became the 23rd Chief of Leghari tribe.

I am not sure if the above statement doesn't make him a feudal lord than what would. I am not saying that he is not a benevolent person - no one person is more benevolent than Edhi - but I think that he will be a terrible politician in Pakistan.
