Tel Aviv, April 23: Israel considers Pakistan as its biggest strategic threat rather than Iran.
Expressing concern over the increasing Taliban threat in Pakistan, Israel?s Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq were the three countries from which Israel faces an immediate threat.

?Pakistan is nuclear and unstable and Afghanistan is faced with a potential Taliban takeover, and the combination forms a contiguous area of radicalism ruled in the spirit of Osama bin Laden,? The Daily Times quoted Lieberman, as saying.

Raising doubts over the US peace initiatives for the Middle-East, Lieberman said America too is skeptical about its move.

?Believe me, America accepts all our decisions,? Lieberman added.

Hinting at an improved relationship between Israel and Russia in the near future, he said Moscow could play a more decisive role in the region.

?Russia has a special influence in the Muslim world, and I consider it a strategic partner that should play a key role in the Middle East.I have argued for some time that Israel has insufficient appreciation for the ?Kremlin factor?. I intend to mend this gap,? Lieberman said.
Earlier, Lieberman had ruled out an Arab peace initiative terming it a ?dangerous proposal? which was bound to result in destruction of the country.

About the idea of a two-state solution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, he said it lacked substance.

Speaking to European Jewish leaders in a meeting in Moscow on Thursday, he said Russia would agree to additional actions against the regime in Teheran if negotiations over Irans nuclear program fail to bear fruit, Jewish leaders who attended the meeting told The Jerusalem Post.

Its clear Russia is concerned about the Iranian threat, but they do not see it as the greatest threat among other [nuclear] states, such as North Korea and Pakistan. Both President Medvedev and Foreign Minister [Sergei] Lavrov think North Korea represents a more actual and vivid threat to global security, said European Jewish Congress President Moshe Kantor after the meeting.

According to Kantor, Medvedev said he was always opposed to sanctions because they are ineffective, and said Russia is watching Iran very carefully.
The key point of disagreement between the Russian leaders and the Jewish representatives on Thursday was over the transfer to Iran of Russian-made S-300 surface-to-air missiles, which Israel fears would grant Teheran an effective air-defence capability against a possible Western or Israeli strike on Iranian nuclear installations.

Russians are still smarting over the wounds of loss in Afghanistan.They are trying to regain the status of the world leader which they had lost sometime back. Pakistan has never had friends in the real sense of the word other than China, and Iran for a period in time when Shah was the king. We have to go it alone. We have held on our own despite all the wheeling and dealing and we will do so I/A in the future. UNITED WE STAND.

Standing alone is what we need. Thats the only we will become where we want to be. Look at South Africa, embargo/sanctions, made them even stronger. Most power in Africa, well until they brought so-called democracy anyway....

Stand Alone ++ become self sufficient.....conquer the globe
