It is how I see it:

1) Did he legally do anything wrong in buying the gifts at a lawful price and then sell them, NO. (That's why ECP did not punish him for buying and selling the gifts)

2) Did he report the earnings in his tax returns to the FBR? Yes he did. (so he was not trying to save taxes).

3) Did he report the earnings as assets to the ECP? NO he did not.

4) Did he earn anything financially by not declaring it to the ECP, NO.

5) Why did he not report it to the ECP then? Because his acts were morally wrong (despite not being against the law) and he was afraid of the political impact. Had he bought these gifts at the lawful price and kept them to himself, no one would have raised fingers.

6)Did he do any financial corruption, NO.

7)Where did he use this money. He used it partially to repair the Bani Gala road and rest of it was used to construct a fence around his property. In contrast, the government of Pakistan (punjab) had spent 134 million rupees to construct a security fence around jatti umra and 2.6 billion to repair and construct the road to Jatti umra.

Anyway, my question to him would be, why the hell did you need to do this and risk a political backlash? Why do something, that is morally wrong?

لوگ آپ کے لئے جان تک دینے کو تیار ہیں تاکہ کرپٹ مافیاز سے جان چھوٹ جائے۔ انتہائی پڑھا لکھا طبقہ آپ کی حمایت کے لئے باہر بھی نکل رہا ہے اور سوشل میڈیا پر بھی اپنی اور اپنے خاندان کی زندگی خطرے میں ڈال رہا ہے تو کیا آپ کو ان کے اعتماد کی لاج رکھتے ہوئے ان معاملات میں احتیاط نہی کرنی چاہیئے تھی۔ کیا آپ اپنی حکومت کے لئے لوگوں کے اعتماد کو استعمال کر رہے ہیں کہ لوگ بہت بڑے بڑے ڈاکوؤں سے تنگ آکرآپ کے چھوٹے موٹے گناہ معاف کرتی جائے گی یا یہ کہ آپ بشری بی بی کی خواہشات کے اسیر تھے۔
لوگ آپ سے محبت اور وفاداری میں سوال نہی پوچھتے لیکن کیا یہ چھوٹے چھوٹے معاشی فائدے اس قابل تھے کہ ان کے لئے لوگوں کے اعتماد پر کمپرومائز کیا جائے۔ ڈاکوؤں اور مافیاز کے خلاف آپ اب بھی ہمارا پہلا چائس ہیں لیکن اب آپ کے پاس بھی مزید گنجائش نہی ہے ورنہ لوگ آپ کو بھی انہی کی صف میں کھڑا کر کے سیاست سے بیزار ہو جائیں گے۔
