Because it was paranoid Pakistan who wanted a treaty for water sharing, It was not India who pursued Pakistan water was shared in accordance with the international law. Under the international law neither country could build any dams on any of the rivers. Pakistan wanted to build dams. You got the treaty live with it.

You should have sat on the negation commute ask your water experts why they agree to the treaty. Now you want to renegotiate the treaty? it does not work this way.

Thise who signed this deal should have asked for first thing first, to solve the Kashmir problem first, than and only than other things can be discussed.

See same thing is happening now in trade, India want to built confidence, a cunning ploy again as it will not discuss Kashmir but all other garbage, what a neighbour, India, very cunning, India you can use all the cunning ploys but one day chickens will come back home to roost.

No body is twisting Pakistan's arms they don't have to trade with India they don't have to engage in any confidence measures. Lets see what Imran Khan does maybe he will stop trade and launch another military operation like operation Gulmarg by your great leader Mr. Jinnah and Operation Jibralter by another great leader Ayub Khan.

You have failed to understand or are not capable to know the traits liked good neighbours, but sad thing is that on some posts you ask for living like good neighbors but than on some you change and totally ignore what you had said about being .good neighbours. Why? What gives.

May my friend you suffer from amnesia.

And that is what I said that this treaty should be renegotiated, water must flow wherever it is intented by nature. Why would they ask India to negotiate this and not the most pressing issue like Kashmir, it beats me. Or they were not aware of this pressing issue and they were not than only this fact comes to mind that they were oblivious to this pressing issue, than they were not capable or were living in some other country and not Pakistan.

What you learn in Pakistan is not the truth (at least on India and now USA) and what you believe to be truth is actually bunch of lies and conspiracies. How can we wake up people who are mesmerized to sleep?

quote: "
This treaty divided the use of rivers and canals between the two countries. Pakistan obtained exclusive rights for the three western rivers, namely Indus, Jehlum and Chenab. And India retained rights to the three eastern rivers, namely Ravi, Beas and Sutluj. The treaty also guaranteed ten years of uninterrupted water supply. During this period Pakistan was to build huge dams, financed partly by long-term World Bank loans and compensation money from India. Three multipurpose dams, Warsak, Mangla and Tarbela were built. A system of eight link canals was also built, and the remodeling of existing canals was carried out. Five barrages and a gated siphon were also constructed under this treaty."

I said it before and will say it again that this treaty should have not been signed as long as the most pressing issue of Kashmir was settled, no patriotic Pakistani will sign any deal with India before Kashmir problem is solved.

Therefore this deal should be renegotiated based on the ground reality of rivers flowing as they did for millions of years. This wrong must be corrected.

What the hell u r talking abou as u blame me for lies, u. Cannot differentiate between lies and no knowledge of things.

U r so introvert that u always are looking for excuse to blame pakistanis for silly reasons, u my friend have amnesia.
