It seems he is not happy about the change of the topic. And I believe he says that we are capable of discussing and addressing two topics simultaneously. So he wants to keep all the topics open. Serious ones and the gup shup ones. .

Thus my conclusion is that when our expectations are within limits, they are justified whether they take the shape of anxiety or possessiveness.
You definitely know more than anyone else about the trading that we expect and we demand in case of emotions and love as well. There is no concept of ''Fe Sabeel Illah mohabbat'' when its between two normal individuals.
''Mohabbat aesa derya hai, kay barish rooth be jaey, to pani kem nhein hoota''. I guess this is more of a literary concepts of Ishq e Majaze that is far from reality.
