MERS was a pandemic? Most people haven't even heard of it. It cannot be compared to CoronaVirus.

Just because it did not spread as much as Covid-19 does not mean that it was not as dangerous. The fatality rates were also quite high, anyways the point was that the viruses can spread in humans from any source and you cannot just pinpoint to a certain set of people or their food habits.

Spanish Flu, The Bubonic Plague, SARS, Wuhan virus to name a few.

These were primarily passed from animals to humans and I have no doubt the eating habits of the Chinese are a major factor since they eat the primary disease carrying animals such as bats and snakes. The Chinese have the blood of alot of people on their hands.

These were primarily passed from animals to humans and I have no doubt the eating habits of the Chinese are a major factor since they eat the primary disease carrying animals such as bats and snakes. The Chinese have the blood of alot of people on their hands.

There is no question about it. The thing that complicates the future pandemics is the eating habits of that region - primarily China.

Now, China is starting to think about the threats it poses to the health - will it be too late too little? Time will tell.

Bill Gates had been saying this for years that China's wet markets will be the source and root cause of deadly viruses and history tells us - he was spot on.
