Englands Favors, Run Leakages and Indian Draw

-DR. ABDUL RUFF

-------------------

After asking India to follow on in the last test, the English boys are too liberal in offering runs to Indian guests. Unless they are trying for a draw and share the 100 plus as the core Test tactics, English boys are silly too in giving quick runs.

England seems to have kept Rahul Dravid, a possible favorite of London where these days a big contingent of Indians enjoy paid holiday n the name of cricketism, at the crease till end when all others were forced to walk back to the pavilion as fast as they came to the crease. Dravid, however, was forced by the English boys to remain stranded like an unlucky passenger waiting indefinitely at ISBT Delhi until the bus-stand is shut, is supposedly the 3rd Indian opener to carry his bat, after Gavaskar and Virender Sehwag- all are the beneficiaries of give and take policy of exchange program of colonial cricketism. Gavaskar, however, is unhappy that his bogus record has been broken by Dravid.

England does not behave like the best team but only as a lucky team. Why the bowlers are offering two many runs in Fours in stead of targeting the stumps for wickets and sticking to dot balls as India or Sri Lanka does? Australia is even worse than England in leaking too many runs hoping for return favors for select cricketers!

In the Test4 when England forced India for follow-on Tendulakr was already OUT but keeper Prior refused to claim the wicket and without England claiming the wicket the umpires do not declare OUT on their own by raising a warning finger. That is how umpires operate but is England trying to offer another 50 plus. Double shame!

Having lost it major batboys now and all hopes of wining or making a draw of Test-4, India still falsely hopes England would help India team to some how manage a draw. but Team England is determined to win it too.

Joint cricket exercises must end and also the tests. Bowlers and fielders must restrict the runs flow and under pressure wickets would fall automatically- that is the simple strategy of cricketism.

It is, however, generally easy for England to clinch the Test 4 as well.
