Deputy prime ministers appointment challenged in LHC

LAHORE: The appointment of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as duputy prime minister of Pakistan was challenged in the Lahore High Court (LHC), Dawn News reported.

[h=1]The petitioner, Advocate Tariq Aziz, filed a writ in the LHC.[/h][h=1]Aziz was of the view that appointment of Elahi as a deputy prime minister of the country was a step to reward a coalition ally and it had not provision in the constitution.[/h][h=1]He said that this special appointment was a clear violation to the article 91 of the constitution.[/h][h=1]Moreover he pleaded that this appointment was ill-intended and should be declared void.[/h][h=1][/h]

WTH, Why are they involving court in everything. Constitution does have a provision for that. It can be wrong on other grounds but constitutionally it is not wrong and actually quite normal in coalition governments. Even in UK, Nick Clegg (Lib Dem) is Deputy PM. No one went to courts on that.... People have so many other problems, please concentrate on real ones, these fake problems are just adding to people's frustration.

But we don't have a great economy like Britain to bear expenses of a deputy prime minister...... In Britain, their rulers are not given royal protocols and facilities, but here they are treated like kings on the expense of poor poor nation.... It's a clear injustice and it should be considered a violation of human rights.... Our poor people are living their lives under poverty lines and even then we have to bear extra ordinary expenses of these 'Deputy Prime minister' when he is doing nothing at all...
