An Appeal to Fellow Muhajirs in Karachi

You are right that crime is one of the major concerns for Karachites. I am only talking with reference to PTI manifesto which doesn't talk about depoliticisation of police and even if it does they can't do it in my opinion just by winning in the centre. In order for them to make any change in police or local bodies implementation they need to have majority in the provincial assembly and I will be very kind if you can point out a provincial seat where PTI is strong apart from Shah Makhdoom follwers area.


To summarise what is the plan or attraction for Karachites in PTI manifesto and if there is one how they are going to implement with very few seats in provincial assembly?

Now, the seats in Sindh. I cannot give you my personal views on interior Sindh as I have no links there but I can certainly tell you about KHI. My constituency is NA 246, an it is THE MOST MQMised constituency of Pakistan as it has NineZero in it. I have managed to convince a lot of people and then they managed to convince quiet a bit; at least the people I know, almost all of them support PTI. Point being, there is a decent support for PTI in KHI.

Now, should PTI have done better planning for KHI ? YES, they sure could do a lot better. But the way I see is that now it is an individual's responsibility to convince people around him/her; be it relatives, neighbors, friends etc. Even if PTI had done better, the battle for KHI can only be won through "tabdeeli razakaar"; it could never be through the electables since electables do not exist in KHI.

Please replace the word 'Mohajir' with 'Urdu speaking' people. Am a Karachiite but I and my parents don't like the word Mohajir. Partition happened more than 60 years ago, we are all Pakistanis now (regardless of what narrow minded and biased people from BOTH SIDES think).

I m from KPK but i prefer to call myself Pakistani nd i m proud of it.U r right brother u r pakistani and u have the equal rights to call Ur self Pakistani rather than Mohajir r urdu speaking if we want to b identified by one nation there should be no identification other than Pakistani.We all should proud to b Pakistani rather than pathan, Sindhi, Punjabi, Bloch and mohajir.

That's why I opened my sentence with 'PLEASE'. Don't want to force it, it's your own choice, but think about it - a big number of people in the US originally immigrated from Italy and Ireland. Do they still call themselves immigrants or Mohajirs. If they did so, they would isolate (to some extent at least) themselves from the people who only call themselves Americans. Still, it's purely your choice.

the status quo of sindh broke in 2002 elections when the CM was not PPP, neither the CM of punjab was PMLQ and it produced some results, i think MQM is not part of status quo, even if MQM doesnt get one MNA seats it must get the majority from sindh, thats the change sindh needs, thats the only hope for sindh other wise sindh cant sustain another 5 years of maltreatment in the shape of PPP

WHY MQM IS NOT WILLING TO ALLOW ARMY TO ENSURE FAIR ELECTIONS IN KARACHI

Chor ki daarhi mein tinka !

An utter opposition by MQM on allowing the Army to look-after the elections in Karachi shows their evil intentions.

They reject this by saying "Why only in Karachi"

My reply to that is:

(1)First of all, if any Fair person/group is imposed checks because of doubts, They would rather reply by saying " Haan haan bhallay poori fauj aur CCTV cams bhi lay aao ! We win Karachi by fair means n we dont care ! whether or not pooray pakistan mein fauj aati hai k nahein we want to come clean"

(2)Second reply to their argument is that, " Why no political party in Pakistan shuts whole economy of Pakistan by forced-strikes as does MQM everytime if anything goes against them". Examples;

• PPP never enforces power on Karachi by force to shut it down. No matter how corrupt they may be !

• Nawaz sharif has never closed Lahore by force no matter whatever happened, no matter how corrupt they may be !

• ANP never shut the cities of KPK even when their ministers n their sons are assassinated.

• On the other hand, if a person is killed who is even vaguely connected to MQM, they would kill innocent residents of karachi in response n wud burn whole city. This in return costs billions of rupees to the economy of Pakistan.

• Since we have limited resources and ARMY cannot be employed to the whole country to ensure fairness (wish it could). So by prioritizing things due to constraints, Karachi is most crucial because of being economic hub and we dont want any group to make the whole country hostage by force by coming into power by rigging.

• If MQM wins Karachi by winning hearts n minds of Karachi-ites. This may be the time doodh ka doodh, paani ka paani.Let the ARMY check elections in KHI. I would always respect your mandate n so would every one who accuse them of being armed-group etc.

N.B: I have great respect n regard for all the immigrants of 1947 both in Punjab n Sindh who speak urdu or punjabi. And I make an educated distinction between Mohajirs n MQM, having best friends and relatives who are urdu-speakings. I just love them. I am saying this because I dont want MQM to take shelter of sympathy of Mohajirs.... NOT EVERY MOHAJIR IS MQM !
