I am astounded by Najam Sethi's idiocy. The sad part is that he's an advisor to Prime Minister...no wonder the country is going down the drain!
Sethi's logic is: Because there are many countries with high corruption rate but no terrorism, this means there's no connection between the corruption and terrorism.
Using Sethi's logic you can say: Because there are many people in the world who smoke (cigarettes) but don't have lung cancer, this means there's no connection between smoking and lung cancer.
Someone needs to explain to this moron that corruption is the gateway for terrorism. If you look at any country that is infiltrated by terrorists, you'll definitely see that country high on corruption list. You can look at Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sudan and any country that's dealing with terrorism. They're all high on corruption list. How can you live in a country where you can pay money to policemen to get out of traffic tickets, theft cases, lodge false FIRs, buy fake ID cards, passports, army and police uniforms, bomb making materials...and still say that there's no link between terroism and corruption. Haven't we all seen news where terrorists walk into different places wearing police uniforms and kill people, or get caught but then somehow "mysteriously" disappear from police custody?? There are hundreds of examples like this. Anyone with half a brain can see that there's definitely a link between corruption and terrorism.
We just need to tighten rope around the necks of some of our high ranking politicians to send a signal to rest of the lower ranking politicians, officers, government officials, private workforce that this will not be tolerated anymore. If make an example out of a few ministers, we'll see an overnight improvement in corruption.

i agree with the statment state corruption at high level has no link with terrorism but corruption at low level liek polive etc has definitely a link with corruption

Raheel Sharif has made a very correct and timely statement. There is definite link between corruption and terrorism in many cases, however, this link is not visible in every case of terrorism. Then again, it also depends how you define terrorism. Sethi, please don't try to defend genetically corrupt Sharif family. Here the whole 'tubber' is corrupt, as we say in Punjabi.
