In some areas of the city, the slogan for declaring Karachi the province of Mohajirs is being raised again, as ethnic divisions in Karachi have deepened due to the rising political temperature.

According to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), the slogan to declare Karachi a Mohajir province is the voice of millions of people of the city who have been deprived of their rights despite the fact that Karachi generates 70 percent of the countrys total revenue.

These people do not necessarily belong to the MQM. They are those who have been deprived of their rights, said Waseem Aftab, a member of the MQMs Rabita Committee, when asked that the people in Orangi Town had been seen raising the slogan for a Karachi province.

Waseem said that the PPPs one-sided decisions had created ethnic divisions in the city and the situation had now reached the point of no-return. He, however, added that the things could only return to normality if the PPP withdrew all its orders that it took during this week. Such measures are creating frustration among the citizens, particularly youngsters.

Waseem said these steps of the PPP were forcing the people to raise voice for making Karachi a Mohajir province where they could get their rights.

He claimed that these people did not belong to the MQM but they happen to be the ones being deprived of their rights, as the PPP was taking every measure to push these people against the wall.

When you (PPP) deprive the people of their rights from every corner then a stage arrives when the people start raising voice for a separate province, he said, adding: It is the voice of millions of people who have been living in pathetic conditions for the last three years.

He said thousands of employees of the now-defunct City District Government Karachi were facing uncertainty and after being rendered jobless these people would be compelled to commit suicide. What kind of cruelty is this that the CDGK employees have not been paid salaries for the last five months, he added.

The PPP has created a rural-urban divide by taking such steps and the government abolished the Sindh Local Government System-2001 just because the city witnessed development under this system and mostly Urdu-speaking people benefited from it, he said.

The PPP has given a message that they do not respect the mandate of the MQM.

Waseem said that the MQM had tried its level best that such voice for a separate province would not be raised but every step of the PPP only brought sheer frustration among the people.

If there could be Seraiki, Bhawalpur and other provinces then these deprived people can also raise voice for a separate province and the MQM cannot stop these people, he maintained.

He said criminals had been given a free hand to kill people. It is shocking that these criminals have been living in Karachi and the PPP leaders are providing cover to these terrorists.

KARACHI: ‘Sab ka Sooba, hamara kiyoon nahin - Muhajir Sooba zaroori hai’ these were some slogans printed on the walls of all five districts of Karachi, including Division East, South, West, Central and Malir. The slogans have been written by an organisation calling itself ‘Karachi Lovers’.

An eerie sense of anxiousness gripped the citizens of metropolis who read the statements written on the walls of their city on Monday.

“God save us from the opportunist politicians and their vested interests”, said a citizen after reading the statement.

SUP declared it was pre-planned by PPP govt: Chairman Sindh United Party (SUP) Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah said that any political party, except the PPP government, does not create the issue of wall chalking. He expressed these views while addressing a press conference held here at his residence at Hyder Manzil. He said that abhorrent wall chalking demanding ‘Muhajir Sooba’ is not the issue of Urdu speaking people the matter of PPP and MQM, who want to blackmail each other.

JSQM to resist any scheme to break Sindh: Chairman Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) Bashir Khan Qureshi, while talking to Daily Times, said that they were observing the situation of city since long. He said a clash between Urdu and Sindhi speaking people is the wish of some political pockets, adding that JSQM will eliminate all such schemes.

Replying a query he said that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is an opportunist party, which has become Sindh friendly and nationalist after leaving the government. He said it is a normal habit of MQM that when they leave the government and face troubles, they claim that they raised the issues of Sindh and were targeted for the same. He said, the MQM will neither contact JSQM after leaving the government nor will JSQM support their call. On other hand, a survey was conducted by Daily Times in which majority of Urdu speaking citizens rejected the idea of a separate province.

Iqbal, a citizen, said that some political forces want to spark a new clash in the city adding, “You, me and every sensible man knows well who is behind this conspiracy.”

Shakir Qureshi, another citizen, said it is a panic alarm for all and it is our responsibility to stop such hateful activities which cause disturbance in masses.

This is not the first time such controversial statements have appeared on the walls of metropolis. A few months ago wall chalking stating ‘Karachi hamara hai tumhara nahi; Ab bas bohat hogaya; land mafia, drug mafia Karachi khali karo etc’ were written by some group ‘Ahlyan-e-Karachi’. The government needs to find out who are these organisations claiming to be ‘Karachi Lovers’ and ‘Ahlyan-e-Karachi’ while marking controversial statements on the streets.

After all all the Scots have Scotland, Welsh have Wales, Irish have Ireland then why not the haqparast?

I am as much an immigrant as AH because he was born in Pakistan and his parents were immigrants in the name of Allah, and I was born in Pakistan and my parents are also immigrants in the name of Allah. Don't tell any one to shut it , whatever you mean by that though! If anything you need to get down to reality and become humble and be thankful for the boon and hospitality of the locals of Karachi. It is as much your duty and responsibility to ensure that there is justice in the country, as it is mine or any one else's because you are as much a citizen as I am. So don't try to tell me that I have to make it a rose garden so that you can have the time of your life. MQM is ruling in Karachi so they should have made it fair for all living there.
Instead of using vague sentences why don't you educate me along with other about all the Zulam going on in Karachi and how much of it is happening to mqm wallas only and not other citizens. If merit is the problem then why can't you take all those people illegally in the service to court and set some standards of justicxe and fair play? Is it so hard? Do you think it is happening only in Karachi? Are you sure this is not the problem of the whole of Pakistan? if so then why do you make it sound like as if mqm is the most discriminated against and suffering the most?
Now I hope you will try to understand what I am trying to say to you, Allah karay aap ko bhi samajh aa jai mareey baatain.

Instead of using vague sentences why don't you educate me along with other about all the Zulam going on in Karachi and how much of it is happening to mqm wallas only and not other citizens. If merit is the problem then why can't you take all those people illegally in the service to court and set some standards of justicxe and fair play? Is it so hard? Do you think it is happening only in Karachi? Are you sure this is not the problem of the whole of Pakistan? if so then why do you make it sound like as if mqm is the most discriminated against and suffering the most?
Now I hope you will try to understand what I am trying to say to you, Allah karay aap ko bhi samajh aa jai mareey baatain.

اگر متحدہ نے کسی کا حق مارا ہو تو آپ بالکل اس پر احتجاج کر سکتی ہیں۔ آپ نے کہا ہے کہ انصاف کی فراہمی صرف آپ کا ہی نہیں بلکہ ہمارا بھی فریضہ ہے۔ بات تو ٹھیک ہے مگر نفاذ آپ نے درست نہیں کیا ہے۔ متحدہ ہر پاکستانی پر ہونے والے مظالم پر آواز اٹھا رہی ہے، مگر "عملی" طور پر اتنی مفلوج ہے کہ خود اپنے آپ پر ہونے والے مظالم کو بھی نہیں روک سکتی۔

آپ نے کہا ہے کہ متحدہ کراچی پر "حکمرانی" کر رہی ہے۔ آپکا یہ تجزیہ درست نہیں ہے۔ حکمرانی کا مطلب ہے کہ قانون نافذ کرنے والی فورسز اسکے پاس ہوں، صحت و تعلیم کے محکمے اسکے پاس ہوں۔ مگر یہاں پر حالت یہ ہے کہ پولیس پہلے پچاسی فیصد تک غیر کراچی والوں پر مشتمل تھی۔ اس پر جو افسران آ کر لگتے تھے وہ اندرون سندھ سے یا پھر پنجاب سے سفارش کی بنیاد پر وزرا کی پسند کے لوگ آ کر لگتے تھے۔

کراچی میں پولیس کا ادارہ فقط مشرف دور کے آخری پانچ چھ سالوں تک متحدہ کے پاس رہا ہے اور آپ ریکارڈ اٹھا کر دیکھ سکتی ہیں کہ یہ سب سے زیادہ امن و امان والا دور تھا جہاں کوئی ٹارگٹ کلنگ نہیں ہو رہی تھی اور شہر ترقی پرترقی کیے جا رہا تھا۔ افسوس کہ مخالفین و حاسدین اس قیمتی دور کو سب سے پہلے شیر مادر سمجھ کر ہضم کرتے ہیں اور بھیڑیے کی طرح کوئی نہ کوئی جھوٹا بہانہ لا کر اسکو بھی متحدہ کے گناہوں میں شامل کر دیتے ہیں۔

آپ نے بات کی متحدہ نے دوسرے فریقین کو کیا انصاف مہیا کیا۔ تو آپ دیکھ سکتی ہیں کہ شہری حکومت کے دور میں جب پہلی مرتبہ کچھ اختیارات متحدہ کے ہاتھ آئے تو مصطفی کمال کو بلا کر الطاف حسین نے پہلی نصیحت یہ کی تھی کہ تم صرف ایم کیو ایم کے ناظم نہیں ہو بلکہ پورے کراچی کے ناظم ہو۔ آپ الطاف حسین کو ہزاروں گالیاں دیتے ہیں، مگر میں آپ کو بتا سکتی ہوں کہ یہ شخص خود ہم میں سے ہے اور مخلص انسان ہے۔ الطاف حسین کی اس نصیحت پر عمل کرتے ہوئے مصطفی کمال نے بلا کسی تفریق کے پورے کراچی میں ترقیاتی کام کروائے اور کراچی کی تاریخ میں پہلی مرتبہ ان بلوچوں کے پاس پانی پہنچا جو کہ جزیروں پر رہتے تھے اور پاکستانی کی تاریخ کے پچھلے پچاس سالوں سے میٹھے پانی کے لیے تڑپتے تھے۔ (امید ہے کہ آپ نے وہ ویڈیو دیکھی ہو گی)۔ پہلی مرتبہ کراچی کے آس پاس کے تمام گوٹھوں تک پکی سڑکیں بنائیں گی تاکہ ان لوگوں کو تعلق کراچی سے جوڑا جا سکے اور انہیں آنے جانے میں تکلیف نہ ہو۔ اور انتہا یہ ہے کہ اس علاقے کو میں پہاڑ کاٹ کر سڑک کے ذریعے براہ راست انہیں کراچی سے منسلک کیا گیا کہ جہاں کے لوگ آج کٹی پہاڑی پر کھڑے ہو کر مہاجروں کا خون بہا رہے ہوتے ہیں۔

میں نے منافقتوں کا ذکر کیا تھا کہ کراچی میں کئی دھائیوں سے سہراب گوٹھ کے نام پر ام الفتن قائم کیا گیا ہے جہاں اسلحہ مافیا، ڈرگز مافیا، لینڈ مافیا ، چوری کے مال کا مافیا، تمام جرائم پیشہ افراد پناہ لیے ہوتے ہیں مگر آج تک انکے خلاف کونسا آپریشن ہوا؟ اسی علاقے سے سب سے پہلے حیدر آباد جانے والی متحدہ کی ریلی پر فائرنگ ہوئی۔ اس وقت تو متحدہ کے پاس ایک پستول تک نہ ہوتا تھا۔ مگر کونسے لیڈران ہیں جنہوں نے اس پر ایک بھی آواز اٹھائی؟ پھر یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے 1986 میں قصبہ کالونی اور علیگڑھ کالونی میں نہتے لوگوں پر حملے کرتے ہوئے ساڑھے تین سو معصوموں کو چند گھنٹوں میں بھون ڈالا اور ہزاروں کو زخمی کر دیا۔ اس وقت متحدہ کے پاس کونسا اسلحہ تھا۔ مگر اسکے باوجود کسی منافق لیڈر کے منہ سے اس ظلم کے خلاف کوئی لفظ نہیں نکلا۔ اس قتل عام پر کمیشن قائم ہوا مگر اس کمیشن کی رپورٹ آج تک شائع نہ ہوئی کہ اس سے پاکستان کی ایک بڑی کمیونٹی کے ناراض ہو جانے کا خدشہ ہے اور رہ گئی متحدہ تو اسے پوچھتا کون ہے۔

اور پھر کراچی میں لیاری کے غنڈوں نے لوٹ مار مچائی ہوئی تھی۔ متحدہ نے انکا راستہ روکنا چاہ تو کراچی میں آپریشن شروع ہو گیا۔ مگر یہ منافقت کیا کہ پھر سے آپریشن فقط اور فقط مہاجروں کے خلاف ہو رہا تھا اور ہزاروں معصوموں کو 1991 سے لیکر 1999 تک شہید کر دیا جاتا ہے مگر پورے پاکستان کے کان پر کوئی جوں نہیں رینگتی بلکہ الٹا کبھی جناح پور کے جھوٹے الزامات لگتے ہیں تو کبھی حکیم سعید کے قتل کے جھوٹے الزامات تو کبھی میجر کلیم کا جھوٹا کیس بنتا ہے۔

اور پھر عمران خان صاحب آتے ہیں تو یہ بھی انصاف کا بیڑا اٹھانے کی بجائے فقط اور فقط اور فقط متحدہ کے ہی پیچھے پڑ جاتے ہیں۔ وجہ کیا ہے؟ وجہ یہ فیشن ہے کہ پاکستان میں ہر وہ شخص جسے سستی شہرت حاصل کرنی ہو، وہ بس متحدہ کے خلاف بولنا شروع کر دے۔ انصاف کے ٹھیکیدار عمران خان صاحب متحدہ کو تو عدالت میں گھسیٹتے ہیں مگر دوسری طرف حقیقی کے قاتل دہشتگردوں کو عدالت میں کھینچنے کی بجائے اسلام آباد مین انہیں گود میں بٹھائے ہوتے ہیں۔ یہی وہ عمران خان صاحب ہیں جو کراچی میں لائسنس یافتہ اسلحہ پر چیخ و پکار مچائے ہوئے تھے، مگر انکی منافقت ملاحظہ ہو کر سہراب گوٹھ میں اس سے ہزاروں گنا زیادہ غیر قانونی اسلحہ اور حتی کہ راکٹ لانچرز تک بک رہے ہیں مگر عمران خان اس وقت ایسا اندھا ہو جاتا ہے کہ اسکے منہ سے ایک لفظ اسکے خلاف نہیں نکلتا۔

یہی عمران خان ہے جو متحدہ کو ہر ہر صورت میں عدالت میں گھسیٹنا چاہتا ہے مگر اسکی منافقت دیکھئیے کہ نہ حقیقی کے قاتل غنڈوں کو عدالت میں گھسیٹتا ہے، نہ پیپلز پارٹی کے غنڈوں اور جرائم پر انہیں عدالت میں گھسیٹتا ہے اور نہ سہراب گوٹھ کے مجرموں کو عدالت میں گھسیٹتا ہے۔ اور حد تو یہ ہے کہ طالبان، جنہوں نے ہزاروں معصوم پاکستانیوں کو ذبح کر ڈالا، انکے تمام جرائم کو نظر انداز کر کے، انہیں "طالبان ہمارے بھائی" کہتے ہوئے انہیں اپنے گلے لگانے کے لیے تیار ہے اور ان طالبانی مجرموں کے لیے تو کوئی عدالت نہیں اور نہ انکے جرائم کا کوئی حساب۔۔۔۔ مگر دشمنی ہے تو فقط اور فقط متحدہ سے ہے۔

مجھے بتلائیے کہ آج تک کس لیڈر نے کراچی میں ہونے والے ان مظالم پر ایک بھی آواز بلند کی ہے؟

اسی فورم پر آپ ملاحظہ فرما لیں کہ کتنے ممبران ہیں جنہوں نے اہلیان کراچی کی ان جائز شکایتوں کو تسلیم کیا ہے؟ کیا آپ انکی نفرتوں کا عالم نہیں دیکھتیں کہ جہاں صبح و شام یہ متحدہ کو گالیاں دیتے ہوئے تھریڈز کھول رہے ہوتے ہیں مگر آج تک متحدہ پر ہونے والے مظالم پر انکے منہ سے ایک لفط بھی نہیں نکلا۔

میں آپ کو بتلا سکتی ہوں کہ "پرفیکٹ" کوئی بھی نہیں ہے۔ یہ سلسلہ شروع ہوا تو زیادتی فقط ایک فریق تک محدود نہیں رہے گی بلکہ فسادات ہوں گے اور لڑائیاں ہوں گی۔۔۔ مگر ان سب کا ذمہ دار وہ فریق ہے جس نے اس جنگ کی ابتدا کی ہے۔

عمران خان کی ایک اور منافقت ملاحظہ فرمائیں کہ طالبان کے کیس میں تو اسے یہ "ابتدا کرنے والا فریق" نظر آ جاتا ہے اور وہ یہ کہتے کہتے نہیں تھکتا کہ طالبان یہ خود کش حملے فقط ڈرونز حملوں کے جواب میں کر رہے ہیں۔ مگر جب کراچی کی بات آتی ہے تو یہی عمران خان صاحب منافقت کی حدیں پھلانگتے ہوئے نہ کسی ابتدا کرنے والے فریق کا ذکر کرتے ہیں اور نہ جوابی ردعمل کا ۔۔۔۔ بلکہ سارے کا سارا الزام فقط اور فقط متحدہ پر لگا رہے ہوتے ہیں اور حقیقی کے قاتل دہشگردوں کو گود میں بٹھا رہے ہوتے ہیں اور نصیر اللہ بابر اور شعیب سڈل جیسے قصائیوں سے گلے مل رہا ہوتا ہے۔

آپ نے مشرقی پاکستان میں دیکھ لیا ہے کہ جب آپ ایک گروہ کے ساتھ ناانصافی شروع کریں گے تو جوابی ردعمل سامنے آئے گا۔ اور یہ ردعمل انتہائی سخت ہو گا۔ اس میں دونوں طرف کے بہت سے معصوم مارے جائیں گے۔ یہ آپ لوگوں کی بے وقوفی ہو گی کہ ان ثانوی معاملات پر فقط ایک فریق کو نشانہ بنانا شروع کر دیں اور جو اس چیز کے شروع ہونے کی اصل وجوہات تھیں، انہیں یکسر بھول جائیں اور انکا کہیں تذکرہ نہ کریں۔ میں آپ سے پوچھتی ہوں کہ کتنی مرتبہ آپ نے بذات خود کراچی میں ہونے والی ان ناانصافیوں کا تذکرہ کیا ہے؟ آپ کو چاہیے کہ ان مسائل پر ٹھنڈے دل سے غور فرمائیں اور اسکا حل نکالنے کی کوشش کریں۔

Haha... I honestly consider MQM pretty much the only party that can create the kind of Pakistan we want. Not because of Altaf but because the people he has collected under him. PTI also if Imran Khan can gather more capable people under him
