An intellectual columnist, anchor and opinion-leader like Talat Hussain need to lift his game instead of selling such "back of the envelope" analyses and ideas - the central issue that deserved analysis here was HYPOCRISY, DOUBLE-SPEAK and/or DOUBLE-STANDARDS (colloquially doghla-pan and munafaqat) which is infact eating the body-politic and the state of Pakistan like a moth.... now someone had to drive this to our citadel of piety and righteousness to come clean on his hypocritical and opportunist exploitation of religion and politics!
Second, Mr. Talat Hussain, if tomorrow someone defames/slanders/scandalizes you publicly and in the media, wouldn't you seek a relief from the court. In fact, under the laws of Tort (and Defamation), as to the protection of the rights to person, property and reputation, it's you being the aggrieved who could seek a restrainment and relief... and not some xyz.

Fazal Rehman, a spot on the religion, using religion for worldly gains, has started all this non-sense, and deserves, to be fixed.
Talat you must say clearly the truth and point to Fazal Rehman, unless you are so ignorant that you don't know who is the guilty.
Imran is only speaking in his defense which is his right to protect his honor. Maulana is a highly respected title, and this guy Fazal does not deserve to be called by this title.
