Muazzam ! Did you notice the last lines of the middle pagraph , starting with Habeel Qabeel...just last lines...about muslim's behavior towards Quran..

And we have millions of Mulla , Mufti , but no scientist who could understand these clear things of Science...

Still now they are just talking about benefits of4 marriages...

The reason is lack of mental evolution...

Still there are lots of topics which are unaddressed but clear from the Quran...

Like the description of Hazrat Zulqarnain...his travel...what Allah is telling about his destination..

Gravity...it is there in Quran , but who will study it .. Mulla read only Talaq and Halala...

They read only Imam Ghazali and Shah Wali Ullah ..No doubt they were respectable and masters of their time... but there time is gone now..

How they could address x ray and ultra sound and nuke...it they have seen these things in their time....

No fresh thoughts are coming out from this community...Thats why people start hating them and Islam in consequences.

anyway read quran and find out what is meaning of Jihad...

Mulla use this word just for killing ...It is clearly described in Quran , the difference of Jihad and Qittal...

Assalam o Alaikum,

1. People like Haroon Rasheed have filled the hearts of youth with hatred for Ulema.
2. When did Ulema say that Muslims should not study/progress in the field of science and Technology?
3. How it can be proved that trade towers were destroyed by Muslims? Even if someone claims that he/she committed any particular criminal act, shouldn't there be a fair investigation for the sake of finding the truth?
4. This Jahil Haroon Rasheed wrote that Quran forbids the Taqleed. Can some one tell this insane that Allah himself ordered all angels to bow before Prophet Adam (P.B.U.H) and all angels did what Allah commanded therefore the angels did taqleed but only Iblees denied to accept the order of Allah. Allah commanded all human beings to follow (do taqleed) his Prophets (P.B.U.H). And our prophet (P.B.U.H) told common Muslims (i.e. us) to follow him (P.B.U.H) and his Sahaba (:razi:) for guidance.
   
5. There are people who were born at the time of partition or just after partition. A number of such people always have problems with Ulemas because they never had the opportunity to be in the company of good/real Ulemas instead of this they studied at schools, universities with out a touch of good Islamic knowledge. These people have seen only the peak of British Empire, US, Russia, West since their birth and therefore all these people, on one hand, always admire western way of governance like socialism, communism, democracy and on the other hand criticize intensely the Sharia law and Ulemas.
6. Therefore, beware of such columnist because they don't have the slightest understanding of Islam and therefore always speak against sharia law & Ulemas. Also never, never neglect the greatness of the Muslim's heritage and civilization. Instead of criticizing Ulemas do something for Islam.
Think for a moment, if there had been no Ulemas in Pakistan or subcontinent would we be still Muslims. Although quidance is always from Allah but the means of this guidance in this era are only true Ulemas who follow the path of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) & his Companions (:razi:). Therefore, like every honorable and dignified person we must always honor the true Ulemas for their this great service to us.

What is Taqleed (تقلید)?

Million Dollar word by Haroon Rasheed, Taqleed (تقلید).

Al-Khateeb al-Baghdadi (ra) defines Taqleed as, "To accept an opinion without knowing the evidence" (al-Fiqhi wa'al-Mutafiqa)

Ibn Hazm (ra) says, "In reality Taqleed is to accept any other's words other than the messenger of Allah's (pbuh) without evidence. This description/definition is what the Muslim Ummah has agreed that this is what is Taqleed and the baselessness of this (concept) is proven". (Al-Ahkaam fi Usool)

Ibn Qudaamah (ra) says, "And this (Taqleed) in Fiqh terminology is to accept ones opinion without evidence. (Though) With this meaning, (to accept) taking into consideration the prophets (pbuh) saying or Ijma will not be called Taqleed". (Rawdata al-Naazar wa'janta al-Manaazar)

Imam Shafi'ee (ra) has been quoted by Imam Muzni as saying, "One should not make Taqleed of anyone except Rasoolullah (pbuh)". (Mukhtasar al-Muzni)
