If I am doing Eid based of Shahda I will do Eid when another good muslims give Shahadah instead of waiting for mufti muneeb who is wasting Millions of taxpayers money for nothing, confirmation.

Or I will just rely on calculated position of the moon

let say

You are a qazi

You got a Havey telescope like this one

and equipment like this

and you got help of other persons who got similar type of telescopes to sight the moon in all over the country

and then you got weather forecasting and astronomy department verdict with you.


and on the other hand there is an unknown man who claim to see moon with naked eyes.

What should you do.??

Well I don't know Mufti Muneeb except that he uses millions of taxpayers money.
If you trust Mufti Muneeb and don't trust people of KPK go ahead I am not going to impose that one you but please don't impose Mufti Muneeb on those who don't follow him.

Still I will belive the local who said he saw the moon if he is of good character.

even in whole kpk its NOT one day Eid! tribal belt has their own mind, mostly do it with saudi, afghan refugees do it with afghanistan and the rest do it with popalzai and remaining do it with central authority of Pakistan!

so its all ego issue otherwise neither popalze nor muneeb has his any materialistic or financial gain in this!

Eid Ramadan is religious festival and there is no centralized Islamic state. Dawoodi Buhra in Karachi have their own days to celebrate, FATA has their own way, KPK has their own.

Either accept witnesses from KPK or use scientific calculation for moon location instead of physical sighting or leave thing as it is and accept it with open heart.

No. He announce based on local witnesses and area around Peshawar follows this. FATA area special Waziristan announce with Saudi. Other districts follows local committee. Several times it happens that in Fata its 3rd of Eid while Mufti Muneeb has his First Day of Eid while some districts have its 2nd day. Go and check the facts.

And also their is misconception about Popalzai that people celebrate Eid based on his announcement and don't know why media highlights this issue. In my city usually Eid announcement is much earlier than the time Popalzai announces.
