Desires likes gambling, alcahol and womenising only bring temporary happiness then mostly regret afterwards. Islam doesn't stop us from enjoying life within reason whilst being prepared for the afterlife by performing good deeds.

Some people enjoy being rebellious just to attract attention so will keep questioning every code of moral conduct to justlify their immoral acts.

It's simple, in life go straight then turn right!
