What are the main differences between Sunni, Hanfi, Shia, wahabi, Deobandi, Barelvi, Salafi etc in Islam?
Please tell me in detail. arsy se in k bary mein sunty hain lekin abhi tak wazy tor par pata nhy k in mein Allah, Rasool, Quran, Mazhab sab aik hony k bawjud kya farq hai? aur in mein se kon theak hai?

Any ways brother DON, sunni,shia,wahabi all are muslim and have differences of opinion of things which is due to different interpretation of history which is quite logical.

Because not everyone can agree to the same thing, difference of opinion always persists.

It is better to research about this topic through books issued by LITERATE scholars of each sect. they you can see the real difference. which is quite minute but some ppl always try to escalate it to create tensions and problems in the UMMAH.

According to Sunni belief, After Prophet Muhammad s.a.w death, Abu Bakr ra, Umar r.a, Uthman r.a & Ali r.a were the righteous caliphs.
Shia believe that Abu bakr, Umar & Uthman were evil and forcefully grabbed the right to rule from Ali. (Remember, this happened 1400 years ago).
That's the root of all conflicts.
Furthermore, Wahabi, Deobandi, Brelvi, Hanfi, Salafi all come under Sunni umbrella.
Wahabi = Salafi do not believe in any Imam after prophet Muhammad s.a.w. They claim to follow authentic hadith and no fiqah of any Imam.
Brelvi and deobandi believes in the fiqah of Imam Abu Hanifah as a translation of Islam.
Even furthermore, Brelvi follow hanafi school of thought from Ahmad Raza Khan Brelvi of Brreli, India. Deobandi follow school of deoband (madarsa e deoband) by Rasheed Gangohi & Ashraf Ali thanvi.

No difference: they are all different from Muslims.
People who follow the religion called Islam are only called Muslims, there is absolutely no foundation of Sunni, shia, wahabi, deobandi, etc. these are all created by weird followers.
The Quran categorically states:

[6:159] Those who divide themselves into sects do not belong with you. Their judgment rests with GOD, then He will inform them of everything they had done.
[30:31] You shall submit to Him, reverence Him, observe the Contact Prayers (Salat), and - whatever you do - do not ever fall into idol worship.
[30:32] (Do not fall in idol worship,) like those who divide their religion into sects; each party rejoicing with what they have.
[42:14] Ironically, they broke up into sects only after the knowledge had come to them, due to jealousy and resentment among themselves. If it were not for a predetermined decision from your Lord to respite them for a definite interim, they would have been judged immediately. Indeed, the later generations who inherited the scripture are full of doubts.


I am sorry to say, but anyone who associates him/her-self with any of these sects will be judged negatively on judgement day. Stay away from them.

Sunni shia we all know the basic difference.
Then in sunni we have deibandi, barelvi (these two have been created during last century in sub continent), wahabi, salafi.
Basically, huge majority of sunni muslims are followers of imam abu hanifa.
Another way of divison is that, there are 2 groups of muslims. One group beliefs Holy Prophet (pbuh) was a human being made of sand. (wahabi, salafi, deobandi). Other group believes Holy Prophet (pbuh) was a human but made from Noor. So he is still amongst us. This group comprises of barelvi, shia. This group beliefs Prophet sees us everyday, thus they celebrate eid milad unabi etc

1. Barelvi.. 60% Pakistani are frm this group. As i said, they belief prophet is made frm noor and is still with us. They believe in mazaar, peeri mureedi celebrations, etc. Followers of imam hainfa
2. Deobandi.. Again follow imam hanifa. Believe prophet was made frm sand like everyone else. They do not go to exaggerations and celebrations. Follow basics. 40% pakistanis are frm this group. Mostly middle and upper middle class.
3. Wahabi. They believe you can follow any imam or you can even swap between imams for different situations. They belive in basics. Saudi arbians are frm this group.
4. Salafi. They basically think 'logic' is haram in islam. You should not ask questions. You should follow islam 'literally' without applying any common sense, because as humans we are not capable to think or challenge. They are basically an extreme form of wahabis.
