He is right. Ch Iftikhar has already been too much controversial so his success chances are very rare. If he thinks that thousands of people will be there for his receptions or gathering, then he would very long. In Pak, making party is very easy job but running and sustaining it for long is very difficult job.

It depends how you define success.
These people start parties not because they have lofty goals. They start these parties only to safeguard their interests and to guarantee that they have leverage if there is ever any progress in holding them accountable.

Ch Iftikhar type people wants to be in limelight and in media all the time but if he didn't do too much politically by winning few assembly seats, he can't sustain himself in media as well as on ground. Plus he would face too much tough criticism about his controversial past which will make very hard for himself.
Marvi memon used to be very active and vocal at the time of Mushi and even after but as long she had joined PMLN and Shahzeb Khanzada exposed her very badly due to her heavy baggage of criticism against PMLN, we hardly see her on TV. It is very difficult to defend the heavy past so his every kind of Success chances are rare. He thinks, due to this announcement, PMLN might offer him some position which is also less likely.
