Hmm very nice...from atheism to theism is a great journey but from atheism to radicalism and superficiality is a sad one. I hope you keep your guard between the two extremes. Because you went to atheism and then back I consider you an extraordinary person. Someone who has the courage to test the limits of his/her mind. I would therefore hope your ideal of religion is deeper than the ordinary, and more SPI-RITUAL-ISTIC rather than RITUAL-ISTIC (something the Tablighees promote)

thanks...I pray Allah will save me from having extremist thoughts...lol..i doubt all tablighees are bad but I would recommend staying away from these people if Allah has guided you...they can twist your mind easily if you havent learned much about islam..

Well, Tablighi jamaat has very established reputation all over the world. Even I know some cases where police officers in foreign cases take Tablighi jamaat's people to bad guys (Muslim one's) of there area to try to persuade them to leave crimes etc. Anyway's there is nothing controversial about them. They are great people doing great work all over the world.

very true..if we all studied the Quran and Hadith ourselves, we wouldnt have need for so many mullas..and i suppose many of these mullas are drunk with power as they have a lot of followers who just listen to their lectures and dont read the quran themselves, so they give these silly fatwas and no one confronts them...
i didnt realize the practice of calling muslims kafirs had become so popular until a few days ago..people just dont realize how bad iit is to call a muslim a kafir...

i am not a well known pakistani..:lol:...but since you asked, i went towards athiesm as I was never taught much about islam in my childhood so it was easy to lose faith and the safar was fine..:)

The work they are doing is good..but the point i was making was that we shouldnt rely too much on other people to learn about islam..it takes only one person to confuse you about your religion..

The work they are doing is good..but the point i was making was that we shouldnt rely too much on other people to learn about islam..it takes only one person to confuse you about your religion..

So, what do you suggest ? Well, I don't see any controversial talks in Tableeghi jamaat. No shia sunni etc. Only the poitns that unite us. And there is no "single Person" there who gives you "dictation". I am unable to grasp your "Confusion" point in context with the work they are doing.

oh, i wasnt being clear..sorry..i was making a general statement that we should be careful who we listen to...there are quite a few videos of islmaic scholars available after which you never wanna hear any of them again...i dont know much about this jamaat..but i was making a general statement
