Thank you GEO and Iftikhar for this programme.We have't seen any corrupt or cruel rtd general or police officer be hanged or died in police encounter why?Police have gone overboard and seen lots of fake police encounter whereas their job is to apprehend the culprit and let the courts decide their fate .If there are some militants or terrorists caught,we should have terrorist courts which decide the case within 4 weeks and punish them accordingly what ever the court decide. One thing i dont understand when pakistan will decide to act like a civilised society.our biggest problems are police and politicians who have been used against their opponents. Police was used for personal vendetta agaisnt their opponents,this is a fact of life,on one can deny that. politicians are as much to be blamed as much police.Police have the protection from politicians behind the scene so what do we expect from police.Police have no right to punish anyone even the cuprit is a murderer,terririst,thief or decoit.police job is to apprehend the culprit and bring him to court.IN montreal, one policeman beat up one guy because policeman blocked his car and went inside the store to buy coffee.The guy who was blocked by police car went inside the store and shouted at the policeman to remove his car.Policeman requested that he just wait couple of minutes so he buy his coffee because the policeman was standing in line but argument started and policeman slap the guy and the fight started and guy was arrested for instigating the fight.The store owner had a video camera ,he gave the video to the media.As soon the truth came out on tv,the policeman was suspended and the guy was given $96000 as damages(pain and sufferings).This is called the accountability.Can we expect this kind of justice in our country ? if yes then when? There were 30 policemen and 13 guys beating the innocents,they all should be charged for murder and be hanged in public as a lesson for police and others.

I had been working on that. I found someone who is the uncle of a class fellow of one of the brothers died.
Both brother were badmash and goons in the school. They gambled on cricket matches. they had won the bet from the people of village Buttar(which is adjacent to the city of sialkot) And they went to recover the money they had won from them. The other party is also badmash group. They resisted and refused to pay. One of the brothers took out a pistol and fired two shots. One to the opposite party guy and the other to a passerby. The passerby died while the other guy became unconcious and he is still in hospital. After these shots were fired, the people of area gathered and surrounded the both brothers. These brothers were not dacoits but to get more attention and sympathies the villagers started crying "daku daku".............and more people gathered there and rest we can se in video.

Few points:

a) It was the same media who ran the footage first day that "People caught two dacoits and killed them". I presume it was on Geo as well as on Dunya. That the was the MOST IRRESPONSIBLE REPORTING BY OUR FREE MEDIA. The correct way should have to portray that: "we have a footage of an incident in which people are beating two persons, allegedly to be dacoits, the media will verify this and then report in detail" Therefore media should also take the part of this blame to sensitize the initial report to market and valuate their own channels. It is really a pity that in the race of competition to improve the rating, the media does not think rationally. I am in no away downgrading the important role of media, but pointing out their "Initial irresponsible way".

b) This board is witness that on the same forum there was a video in which in Gujranwala Police was beating the few youths publicly. The people were encircled around and Chatrool was done. Even on that video it was stated that this is not the way of a civilized society, which in any case we are not!!!

c) The Incident happened on 15th August, 2010 where were the whole government machinery. Had it not been on media a big hue cry, the Shariffs, Ranas and all other responsible should have been busy in their "other routines".

As long as the Police will be under the Political Influence, these type of barbariat incidents will continue. It is very simple, if local MNA/MPA's desire someones will be arrested, and someones will be not arrested, then the same police officer will also like to exercise his own sweet discretion because he will not have the fear of any accountability. It is very simple reality.

d) The media is again playing "irresponsible way" of reporting. It should and must send its teams to that zone, interview the alleged and documented culprits, bring out the view point of Rescue 1122, any police man who was there, all the people who were there. Just showing the same thing again and again will not serve any purpose.

Last my question is: WHAT IS THE LIFE OF THAT MOTHER AND THAT SISTER, WHO WILL LIVE TILL THEIR DEATH TO SEE YOUTUBE VIDEOS CONTAINING THEIR SONS/BROTHERS HANGING MOUTH DOWN, BLOOD SOAKED.
Oh Allah, let your Azaab be on those who were directly or indirectly involved in this incident, who are hiding it or trying that the justice should not be done.

There was a hype created that villagers have caught two decoits who have murdered two people and everyone in the mob were under the illusion that they were fighting for the Good not Evil.
Police role is highly disgusting and before anyone else is seved with justice, police should be punished in the same Bazar for letting this go one for so long and still not file any case until pressure came from media.

But is this not what we are hoping to happen?, not in this particular incident but are we not praying that people should stand up to Evil, this is what people thought they were doing as they did not know that they are Hafiz Quran but they thought of them as Decoits who have killed two innocent people. Brother! I understand what u wrote. You read my first post on this thread above. I have said that Media should interview each and everyone involved in this indicident so that the "truth" should come out. I go a bit further, suppose these two brothers:
a) badmash (as you and shaheed have heard);
b) they went with a pistol to demand the winning bet;
c) they shot a person, there and injured another one.
So this is all which is coming through now by hearing or reading in post, but those brothers were:
--) apprehended by Rescue Team, detained and handed over to police;
--) from where the people came into and started beating them to death, with clubs, kicks and whatever and that also in the presence of police.

Let us wait what Media in the interviews says, but let me tell you one thing, I have heard an interview from a culprit who in video says:
"The policemen told us to kill them, they(policemen) will take all the responsibility, and we did it on behalf of police".
Isnt, fishy it is?

of em,requesting them to help the victims, every Monday and Friday for a month/twice a week...starting from today or unless they dont take any action

please share you letter/email samples here if possible sothat other may have an
idea how to write this letter... it should not be lengthy and must be to the point...

I hate to live with this reality what happened in Sailkot. I am deeply concerned of killing of two innocents brutally while people there remained silent including Punjab Police and did noting to save those brillient kids. Punjab Police has actually prevented people forcefully from helping these kids. Its quite clear from the videos. Even they were provoking to kill them by portreying it as a police encounter. It is a murder carried out by the State of Pakistan.

well, as citizens of Pakistan we expect our lives to be protected. To do this you have a responsibility towards us. We demand you to catch the culprits involved in this incident and give them examplinary punishment to stop future incidents. If such incidents continue then there is no argument of existence of a state. I hope you will do best for the State of Pakistan for which you claim to be incharge.

I am not condoning what happened there. Its very unfortunate what happened to Butt brothers. But please do not forget that person who got killed little before that incident. I agree with you that police should have taken control of the situation. Let me break this news to you that police knew that both brothers had been involved in bad things and police wanted this extra judicial murder. This has been policy of Shahbaz Sahreef also but some times it does not work.
